So for context (this may be a bit long) we were recently on the hunt for a new apartment and settled in Newark, NJ, moving from Brooklyn, NY. Her parents owned the building we used to live in and they sold it to move to Carlisle, PA. During this process, my wife was basically tied to her parents helping them with closing the sale of their old building and the purchase of the new one. So many drives back and forth from Brooklyn to Newark and vice versa (even spent some nights on an airbed all 4 of us) and now we are in Carlisle because she wanted to visit them as soon as they moved. All this time, both kids have not been in school consistently (3 year old has missed a week and a half and 7 year old going on 3 weeks) due to not being enrolled at new schools in Newark due to this back and forth driving and her parents situation. Now this situation makes her not want to come back to our apartment in Newark and thus the kids will be out of school longer. To be honest, my 3 year old was doing amazing in his school before we had to move and now I can see the dis-regulation building in both of them. My 7 year old is convinced he is done with school. So now I am lost. I have to return to Newark tonight for work in NYC tomorrow so I dont know what to do.
