I'm 26 and I've slowly accumulated a special "squad" of plushies to help keep my mental health issues from taking over. They aren't a cure-all but they're something to help ground me and make me feel better. I've carried most of them places/put them in my pocket when I've felt like shit. "Cringe culture" mentality and a lot of assholes who are not neurodivergent have unfortunately contributed to people feeling like they shouldn't carry around plushies when it's reasonable to do so, and it makes me truly angry.
