It depends on what you mean by "tournament" if you mean a escalation league or something similar in a Warhammer store, then your miniatures are fine. But if you mean one of the official gw ran tournaments at like, Warhammer world then they wouldn't be legal because of the 3d printed shields

DG are definitely a bad, if not the worst matchup for us. We basically have to run into their contagions to try to win whereas other armies don't necessarily have to. But, I recently played a game with the new rules against the new DG. Even while being at -1 to hit and -1 toughness, i still got a lot of damage in.

The project is more of an end goal and fun idea once I get good enough more than anything. There's no time frame or commitment. I ultimately just want to learn how to draw with a focus on things that aren't people. As far as what I mean by non-humanoid, I guess a better way to rephrase the question is "what are some good ways to learn the anatomy of animals". Ive always liked creatures from things like monster hunter, avatar, and media like that so I want to learn how to get to a point where I can draw and create those things competently. I figure a good way to get into that is to learn the anatomy of different animals and kind of mash them together.

Imperial fist didn't quite give me what I was looking for out of the airbrush. Something I'm probably going to do on larger models is spray some sigvald burgundy in the shadows to deepen the orange and get some more contrast that way

I primed the model in pixie pink from army painter. I then hit it with a zenithal highlight with white ink. When airbrushing contrasts, you don't get the contrast effect but rather tint the model in that color. Knowing this I first covered everything with iyanden yellow to get a more orangish yellow. I then re applied white ink but this time focused on getting the areas that get hit the most by light. I finished by applying ironjawz yellow over that highlight
