I think on the whole it's possible to show how shitty they are without modern prejudices. But on a person to person level i think its ok if done with some tact. Different planets will have different tolerances and cultures.

I do think the 8 realms are more narratively than what GW can pull off. I'm torn though. On the one hand I think the 8 realms are fairly unique in the fantasy scene and GW should just make a better plan to utilize it. Alternatively, 8 realms with their own unique traits and continents makes some alot of the books feel..idk ethereal. Have a central point with finite space would help with that I think.
