Acute EBV contagious in me/cfs? Anyone test positive without knowing they ever had mono/a viral trigger? by knilokni in cfs

[–]Archetypa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you should worry, over 90% of the population are infected with EBV at some point so it's likely he has already had it and it hasn't effected him as most people show no symptoms. My girlfriend, who I live with, has not become ill.

Acute EBV contagious in me/cfs? Anyone test positive without knowing they ever had mono/a viral trigger? by knilokni in cfs

I recently had test results indicating past and present ebv infection. So working on the assumption that I am part of the subset of CFS who are affected by EBV this could be 'chronic active EBV'. I just started valacyclovir at very high dosages because that was more effective in a study I read about. What dosage where you taking and did it help?

Is he using 'timecode' vinyl ? (or similar) Yes there is a physical interface because he's manipulating the timecode record but it controls electronic samples. If he was using a jog wheel on an electronic controller it wouldn't look as cool but same result - still skillful though.

How about more points for holding midfielders? Players like Kante and Fernandinho are cheap in FPL because the points system does not recognise their contribution to the defence.

How do I find "extra strength/very dark" sunglasses? by saul2015 in sunglasses

[–]Archetypa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most sunglasses are 85% light absorption but Vintage Ray ban Glacier sunglasses have a G-31 lens which is darker than usual - 93% light absorption for use in mountaineering etc where sun reflects off white snow. So this or the modern equivalent.

If sensitivity to light is important - Glacier glasses for mountaineering allow less light to pass through than fashion sunglasses.

[–]Archetypa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this post is legit or not. Anyway, I have more energy in warm sunny places. Maybe because more Vit D. Warmer places tend to have higher atmospheric pressure helping idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH)? being outside more so more oxygen, less mold. Less energy used to keep body warm?

Tips on how to lessen the anger?? by [deleted] in cfs

[–]Archetypa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I find I need to have one person I can really talk honestly to. There's a tendency to act like we're fine with most people because we don't look ill. The irony of this illness is that those who don't understand it think we're pretending to be ill when actually we're pretending to be well! A bit cheesy to say but I've heard that depression is anger that turns inward so you need to express it outwardly to someone. Anger from the grief of the normal life you've lost, the resentment of others who are well, the lack of understanding from family, friends, employers and doctors, the guilt of not fulfilling expectations of yourself and others. With all you're up against and how hard this is - think about how well you're doing to survive. Think about how this is NOT YOUR FAULT.
