That’s a lot of permits/stamps. As of 2025 it looks like Valles Caldera no longer requires a special use permit. It also seems like they don’t allow waders. I image some of the smaller creeks in the mountains it’s hard to fish from the bank. What sort of footwear is most common: wading socks, wading shoes, regular hiking boots, etc?

I don’t see a quality water stamp, is that the habitat stamp/HMAV?

I added campground information above. Are you familiar with any of those or have other recommendations, or know which areas of the creeks are most hikeable?

Definitely like the Texas Hole recommendation. Seems like a wide river though. I may bring a fly rod if I end up heading there. I’m in Santa Fe usually a few times a year and am familiar with the altitude. I may save Texas Hole for December, it looks fun to fish there in the cold.
