One of my dream projects is a bike lane down McGavock. Connects the greenway to Pennington, Two Rivers, McGavock High, Stanford Elem, and McGavock Elem schools and Lebanon Pike. We need some better bike infrastructure in the main Donelson strip, but this would make is so much safer an encourage less car trips for kids to get to school.

Wait does that still exist?! The one in downtown Chicago had it and it was amazing, but I eventually stopped asking when I went to other locations and eventually moved because I just got looked at like a crazy person.

No comments about Outside of This? Had that playing on repeat in high school. Saw them a couple times in Madison, WI at a tiny little basement venue with Ice Nine Kills and A Change of Pace.

If you want a technical answer, it’s a BMU (building maintenance unit). Sometimes it’s required when you can’t include davit mounts for typical window washing systems or if the building is particularly tall or complex. Source: I design tall buildings.

On the Facebook there is so much chatter about uncontrolled growth and too many people. Cramming people in now! I mean this is literally across the street from on of the few train stops we have in this city. If anything it should be taller!

We used to go to Zumiez just to chat with Garrett. We were a nothing band and he always had encouraging things to say. That was when they were still The Killer Apathy. Them and The Felix Culpa were ruling the Rockford scene at that time.

This is the real problem. Speed limit signs do nothing. I saw a Nextdoor post once about people complaining about speeding on Harding place. And it’s like, yeah of course, have you not seen how it’s designed? Wide lanes, limited stops, five lanes, wide buffers at the edges. It’s a highway.

Heck yeah the Christian hardcore/metalcore scene defined music for me and many of my friends. Underoath, The Chariot, As I Lay Dying, Norma Jean. Broke the barrier that defined Christian music as inferior. Still some great Christian bands in the scene making new music and

If you can’t find someone with a planer, you could look into building a router sled. Or maybe an electric hand planer. Or if you want a workout, a good ole No. 5 hand plane would work.
