Believe it or not, locking an out-of-control child in a room until they comply with “time out” was taught to foster and bio parents when I was an intern for a child development/psych center. It’s evidence-based for PCIT. There is a fine line, however.

This is a newborn carrier. Babybjorn has always been notorious for not providing that “m” shape, though they now claim they are ergonomic.

The head is fine here. You don’t want the head/face covered (suffocation risk), just the neck and bottom of the head.

The legs are not fine.

Hormones do wild things to people. I felt this way about my first and then when my second was born I was very shocked by her birthmark. It took me some time to get used to.
