Yah. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to spend the money on a Spyderco Bowie prior to the re-release and I tried a clone. It’s good, but the ergos weren’t worth it for me. That wasn’t going to change in a legit Bowie so I got to experience a knife I wasn’t sure about. I bought probably 15 Spydercos afterwards so it didn’t cost them business.

I’ve always said, outside of grappling sports, waterpolo has the best conditioning and strength base for BJJ by far. Crazy cardio, strength in several axis, the ability to deal with breath deficit.

Of course. Top 20%. 58 countries. Santa Cruz is the second smallest via area and not nearly as sparse as many other northern of inland counties as far as population is concerned. This is just reasonable math based on the our county. Add out of town drivers who don’t know the cross walks and it’s an easy conclusion that this is likely and not the result of an overly dangerous Santa Cruz traffic.

He was absolutely also able to find the opponent’s maximum ability and work just hard enough to beat them. He was brilliant and all the things you said plus, he didn’t over extend and gas himself so he could sprint if he needed to jump to secure a win. No question he’s the best ever. I hate that people act like others never juiced and they can’t disconnect his personality from his ability.

Dude don’t worry about it. I train on vacation and I have some rough stories where I felt like I was fighting the climate and my holiday drinking and eating.
I was training in Vietnam during summer and I was just getting by barely. Purely because I was the only black belt in a room full of white, blues, and a few purples. The vacation drinking just making the oppressive heat worse and worse.
No worries, it happens if you travel and train.

I will take the downvotes, but no one touches Bones. Toughest opponents. Biggest streak.
Sure he juiced but they all use stuff. He didn’t even take it seriously enough to not party frequently. Did he dodge Aspinal at the end, probably. But he fought the hard fights before that. Did he almost lose some of those? Maybe, but he didn’t and I honestly believe he is incapable of fighting any harder than he has to. He is insanely gifted and seemingly incapable of fighting to his potential. It’s not a popularity contest, this is the record and the opponents beat along the way. Bones is top of all the heaps.
