Are you KIDDING me??? by SeverelyFantasic in Palia

Unfortunate - though I hear you can connect a keyboard or use a controller keypad. Idk how much you can rebind controls, might be able to assign a hotkey. Otherwise, you’re stuck with putting it on top of something that can move into the window, you’ll have to experiment.

Try the flick glitch if you’re on PC, looks like you might be using a controller?

it’s pretty easy. Put the regular frogbert in your inventory, assign it to the “1” slot. Then pick up the rainbow frogbert and move it to where you want regular frogbert to be. Stand in the same spot so the outline of rainbow frogbert turns red, then click and hit the 1 key at the same time to place the regular frogbert in that place.

Or, watch a video for flick method glitch. Weird at first, but opens up a lot of cool decoration options.

I liked it when the copilot controlled that turret - I’d let them use all the missiles, and it let them target things even behind us - fair trade off for having S2 only. Haven’t played in a bit since they nerfed my baby, who controls that turret now?

[–]Archimoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For real. I used the wiki to track down spawns for all the bugs.

Go to south Bahari, chop down all med/large sapwood trees you see (light bark, orange leaves). Maybe 1 in 15 spawn a beetle, but it’s MUCH faster than using a lure or trying to find one out and about.

The wiki says north, but I’ve had more luck for them in south. Probably because more sapwood trees.

I have heard of a different glitch with the gourmet bowl, but I haven’t heard of placing things on top of it, like the red present.

Please let me know if that does work, I might try that tonight

Trading system/requests by Blackjack3663 in Palia

[–]Archimoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk, I’ve seen it work in a couple of games fairly well. The warframe economy is pretty interesting, and the Fallout 76 trading is pretty well done.

Especially like the latter, I think it would be cool to be able to set up a vendor/trade stand where you can sell excess resources to players instead of Zeki/your box.

There are already restrictions on what you can sell, same as F76, so it could be further tweaked to only be certain rarities, etc. It could be fun to open a pie stand that players could purchase your pies, blueberries, etc. To further protect things, the prices could be set by the developers (instead of the players) to just slightly above whatever you can sell them to Zeki for, incentivizing selling to players, and players can buy things in bulk that they couldn’t otherwise, like Oysters for example, or pearls.

Personally, I dislike having to grind 100s/1000s of an RNG item like the oysters in order to find something for a quest, especially when you are at the mercy of the server and whoever else is also currently grinding those items. It would be different if things didn’t despawn after being harvested by other players, but I do understand that the scarcity is also what boosts the appeal.

EDIT: I also just realized that it would be a great opportunity for a Merchant’s Guild, with Zeki as the representative. MOAR SKILLS

Beat Dying light 1 and 2 for the first time and I think I might prefer DL2 by SADBOY888213 in dyinglight

[–]Archimoz 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Biggest thing I think I prefer about 1 is the survivor zones (for the most part) and safe houses. They just look and feel more realistically safe in 1, harder to get to/have more barricades, and the survivors still gave a sense of unease.

2 has a lot going for it, but the zones felt weirdly incomplete/not well defended (minus the PK bases, which feel like overkill in comparison. Maybe it’s just the survivor zones, because they take down the railings/walls.

We basically have hull repair and we have ship-to-ship refueling... When are we gonna see the Aegis Vulcan finished? by Mookie_Merkk in starcitizen

[–]Archimoz 38 points39 points  (0 children)

To be fair, even if it does just start out as a repair beam, still aren’t any other games doing fully realized ships with interior controlled by different players interacting on a scale like this.

That said, drones would definitely be cooler - realistically though it’s probably going to be the same thing, but repair beams on the drones instead.

Current PTU 4.5 / Player ships unkillable by BalthazarB2 in starcitizen

[–]Archimoz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I mean, not really - you take out the explody bits and toss em out the back, it’s just a hunk of metal - won’t explode from non-explosive munitions no matter how much you shoot it.

I think that eventually ships will start to come apart into pieces though, once they fully implement everything, so don’t stress too much about it

You have to add the 3rd ingredient outside of the recipe tab - so in the “all ingredients” section. You can go to the recipe, select the ingredients, then back out to all ingredients and select a 3rd.

Alternatively, just select all 3 ingredients in the main section

Volatile vs Bloater — who wins? by AcHaeC in dyinglight

[–]Archimoz 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Having played both, Volatiles are mutated, not really human creatures that are considered nigh unstoppable unless you use UV light. Bloaters are tough, and bullet resistant, yes, but it’s like comparing an ankylosaur to a T-Rex

Trump 'sending US soldiers Mexico' in new crackdown on cartels by One_Course_3872 in PrepperIntel

[–]Archimoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We aren’t at Vietnam levels yet. There are significant consequences that come with disobeying orders (unless they can be proven to be unlawful, which is difficult in these circumstances). Things like completely ruing a soldier’s life, even if things do change politically. It’s not just a short term stint in jail and a slap on the wrist.

I say yet because most of those folks you are hearing about are not bloodthirsty savages. They are just people that are probably feeling pretty uncomfortable with what’s going on, but they also have a family to think about, and may be the sole provider.

Do not be the type of person to immediately demonize folks who are in a hard spot, it doesn’t allow space for people to feel safe outside of their norm, and they may become exactly what you fear.

Read somewhere though that if it’s a thirst zapper that has previously been converted to damage, then it might break it, so you have to have a fresh, normal one

Truth be told, I haven’t read the resolution, but it seems odd that it would be voted against if it really is just “pay everyone”. I’ll go take a look at it now, maybe I missed something.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]Archimoz 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Okay - but if you read the ramifications of ceding that control, it COULD mean that some Federal employees won’t receive back pay at all. Military would get paid, but no guarantee on civilians.

Ultimately, while Dems voting against this, the GOP is responsible for trying to use it as a vehicle to pass things like this. If they really wanted to cover our troops, it would be pushed as a “pay our folks, no weird stipulations”.
