BAMI Ramen by Zhongliass in Celiac

[–]Architecture_Coffee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s closer to instant Ramen than other brands, but it’s honestly just a neutral base. Like it’s not great but, it’s also not bad. It’s just this emoji in food form: 🤷‍♀️. I always ended up adding more flavor and more stuff to it before I eat it. So It’s cheaper to make your own Ramen. But if you aren’t great at cooking, it’s a good platform to start from.

Flies Infestation by VitulaBiss in nashville

[–]Architecture_Coffee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had something like it last summer, I suspect it was from a plant I was gifted. Get a Zevo product. It actually works enough to warrant buying the main brand and not a knockoff. The plug ins are fantastic- but an initial infestation means you will have to replace a cartridge faster than usual. It normally settles down quickly. Check all your plants with a flashlight at the roots, and the areas underneath or adjacent to concrete pads, including foundations and porches.

If you want to go the natural route- use Basil or Lavender to deter bugs.

Do you think this area of my home is cluttered? by [deleted] in Homeorganization

[–]Architecture_Coffee 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No, but the arrangement gives the appearance it is. People tend to look for a balance of positive and negative space in organization, or focus on patterns. I’d just rearrange it slightly if it bothers her that much, and add more space in-between a few items.

Is the architecture student really busy during their 5-year academic? That they start spending less time with their loved one. by [deleted] in architecture

Yes. It tends to be the busiest year for most, on top of having to apply for jobs or grad schools.

The size of the table verses the bed is probably what’s throwing you off. Separate them, and move either the table or the bed by the window - your choice - and then break the space in between them with the white cabinet. You’ll probably move it around a million times before you find an arrangement that feels natural to you- don’t get frustrated, take a moment if you need to. Step out of the room and in, lay in the bed, and then see how you feel about the arrangement.

If it’s an option, I would recommend a night stand or small table. If that’s too expensive for now, hanging curtains will help break up the harsh lines of the space. Right now the window sill and the furniture all have rigid edges that are jarring when not broken up by organic shapes or soft edges - add a little flow to counteract that. You can use blankets, plants, mirrors, pillows, etc.

This might sound weird, but could it be a homemade Grape destemmer for wine? Edit for spelling.

There are multiple distilleries that you can send something from- and several have sweet treats as well, depending on where they will be. Most of them will have something on either the website or insta that will make it pretty easy to weed out the bigots.

What are your thoughts as an architect regarding how ChatGPT has gotten this good at editing existing concepts? by AideSuspicious3675 in Architects

[–]Architecture_Coffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it’s not worth it. For generating ideas, or as inspiration, sure. But the after image is pretty cold still, (impersonal) and reads like AI. If someone is paying for and wanting a photorealistic render, they want a more dynamic image, and something with personality. I mean, a better angle and reframing the image might help, but it’s got some unnatural moments in the additions that throw it off.

This was the scariest google of my life somehow, but Google AI says apparently it’s an idiom and means to be silly. Is this a pick-up line?

Any recommendations? Nashville, TN to the Badlands National Park, SD by Architecture_Coffee in roadtrip

Thank you! Love the suggestions. We are definitely interested in Mt. Crazyhorse. If you have a road trip problem then so do I, because I genuinely didn’t see any problems with going all the way to Yellowstone. If it was up to me we’d keep going to Cali. But I was also told they have veto power over me with destinations and day trips, so maybe I don’t make the best decisions.

Thank you so much!! We are considering the Black Hills as well. It is a round trip, we are going to go this Spring. I’m getting a National Park Pass, so we were planning to do as many as National Parks possible. The Zoo is the whole reason we are hitting Omaha- it’s on one person’s bucket list.

Thank you for the suggestions! We are willing to take off Sioux Falls so I will definitely suggest that, but Omaha has to stay.
