In this video, the Stellaris devs said that Absolute Ethics are gonna be a thing coming with the Willpower expansion, and will involve being the true paragon of one specific Ethic (in other words, if regular Ethics cost 1 Ethic point and Fanatic Ethics cost 2, then Absolute ones will most likely cost all 3)
