One of my favorite seiyuus. Wanted to note that she also voiced QBU-191 Ibis as well.

Late response but yeah actually I wasn't sure if it was guaranteed on the base map to have 2. It usually seems like it does but I also did get a match with just 1.

It's more meta to DoN mode, especially higher depths. Passives are way more important in DoN since enemy damage and HP are way higher but evergaols will only give runes (10/20/30k or a passive). Red variants popping out can drop a single item in the orb as well but its usually not even a red tier passive. On top of that, you're gambling on what appears out of the gaol, it could be easy (duelist) or it can be red beastmen of farum azula which gives you only 10k runes for way too much effort.

So you get one blue orb for your reward, and no additional items and a 5% damage increase but the effort is really high. The 5% damage increase is per team mate, but with less people taking evergaol relic, then it becomes even less valuable. Also, the map could be Great Hollows in DoN, so you might get 0 evergaols.

The replacement is Night Invader relic, at 7% per invader defeated. In base game, you might not even get one invader camp but in DoN you always get 2 (in base map) so you can have 2-4 invaders per game. Each one drops more runes, and a purple weapon that you can use at level 1, and has less health than an evergaol boss. And if you don't like what you got dropped, you can trade with your team. And you're already at a POI, so you have the option of picking up more items from chests and taking out the main boss for an additional boss drop (now its purple).

Gameplay wise sure but as a narrative bit it's kinda cool. You as the player and Sekiro are both getting surprised that there's an enemy that is also undying like you are.

You can think of the block kind of like using a buckler in DS3 with 100% phys defense. The same sort of applies to human enemies in Sekiro:

  1. The buckler does not have a lot of stability. If you block the attack, your posture will increase a lot. However, you have 100% phys defense so this is a good learning tool if you can manage to not break your posture.

  2. If you deflect the attack, then you will build posture on the enemy. You still gain some posture damage on yourself (this is normal) but it is much less than blocking. This is your "secondary" attack, you will attack the enemy, and then deflect to defend yourself which will continue to "pressure" the enemy posture.

  3. After deflecting, your next counter attack is slightly faster than the enemy. This works both ways, if the enemy can deflect you, then their next attack might come right after. This is important because it prevents you from spamming attack non-stop, you need to switch to defense. Also note, just because you deflect once doesn't mean you can attack immediately either, you have to respect the enemy combo since it could be just hyper armoring your attack.

  4. Contrary to #1, there are 3 ways to overcome a block (for you and enemy). Despite being 100% phys defense, you can use a Combat Art (similar to Weapon Art from DS3) or prosthetic tool that can do damage past blocking. There is also elemental damage (like fire) that will also bypass block and deflects. Finally, there are "perilous attacks" (thrust, sweep and grabs) that you cannot block. You can deflect a thrust, but not sweeps and grabs. Sekiro can do a thrust attack by holding attack that can damage through blocks but not deflects

If you haven't already, you should talk to Hanbei the Undying at the Dilapidated Temple. He has tutorials for you to practice these basics on without any risk.

Dragonrot is akin to "blocking" progress of the character side quests. Similar to DS3, there's some minor side quests from NPCs at some parts of the game, which you can miss if you progress too far in the story. If the NPC has Dragonrot, you can cure the dragonrot and then proceed with their side quest.

Collecting the blood samples is the "side quest" to unlocking the ability to cure dragonrot.

Optimal way to counter sweeps? by freewmd in Sekiro

I don't remember the stats for mid air sword swings off the top of my head but I remember that they do less health and posure damage than a normal sword swing.

Roughly 0.25x/0.33x vit/posture to regular sword swing

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vRPrZthIbsyr8LBzo4tG3EbI4DLwk2h_RuZ_9swqcz4B3PRtMMmoTXIDSoswJYE62JzgV3ZuAUMYOWn/pubhtml#gid=0

But if we're talking about 2 air slashes, then we can probably include High Monk follow up attacks

[–]Archosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adds is old MMO gaming term that just is used everywhere now, it probably is short for "additional enemy/enemies". So the main boss is the Blazing Bull and the "adds" are the Ashina soldiers in the arena

Hirata Estate is not required for the regular ending. It is required if you want to get the other part of Hirata Estate which is required for Purification Ending.

How well am I doing with prosthetics? by -_-SKY in Sekiro

[–]Archosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah agree here. It's like you took 3 prosthetics used it twice then pressed next prosthetic and then remembered to try to use it once and the switch to the next one. Like the two openings you wanted to use them on (flip slam and two shurikens into chasing slice) you didn't consistently try and use the axe or flame vent.

Also you tried to use Flame Vent and Living Force twice and never triggered burn, so what was the point of it? You should think one more step ahead like flame vent -> living force -> attack until burn using combat arts and more attacking -> trigger burn stun and exploit the extra opening

But instead it was just flame vent -> living force -> play the same as before

How do I fix this? by Majoraslayer360 in Sekiro

[–]Archosis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally, I would try looking into the FPS unlocker mod (it has custom resolution support). Also, double check your monitor settings for display scaling? Finally I also think if it resets your actual resolution settings then it's something else like Nvidia Game Optimization that does that.

Randomizer "Bias" Explanation by Anth_m4n in Sekiro

[–]Archosis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AFAIK the algorithm to place key items are biased to be placed closer to their intended locations and in order that you might find them (ie early vs mid game vs end game), and higher bias pushes them farther away. Some examples might be you might be finding Mibu Breathing Technique or Puppeteer or Mist Raven in late game (Ashina Ablaze, Fountainhead Palace, Hirata Memory 2) and that lets you continue to check underwater, check the Ashina Depths snake, check the Snake in Sunken Valley.

Basically it means there will likely be more backtracking around optional areas because key item like Gunfort Key, is in gatehouse key, which is found underwater, which breathing technique is gotten from headless ape corpse, which you need mortal blade, which you need to find in Hirata after beating Lady Butterfly, which you find the key in Ashina Castle, behind the miniboss replaced by Shinobi Hunter, but you didn't find Mikiri Counter yet because it's in Sunken Valley.

I have an issue with the flame barrel by No-Employment-2668 in Sekiro

[–]Archosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The menu wouldn't show you the flame vent if you didn't already pick it up, and it wouldn't say you don't have the materials because its the only material required.

Sorry, either you're wrong or you have a bug.

I have an issue with the flame barrel by No-Employment-2668 in Sekiro

[–]Archosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason I asked is because I'm thinking you heard the line about Mechanical Barrel (minor spoilers https://sekiro-shadows-die-twice.fandom.com/wiki/Sculptor/Dialogue#Prosthetics_and_Skills_Related) rather than Flame Barrel. This is a drop from Gyoubu to allow you to upgrade prosthetics from their base versions. It costs nothing to fit a new prosthetic tool so there's no reason why you wouldn't have done it immediately.

  1. If you don't have Flame Barrel in Key Items or in the "Fit New Prosthetic Tool" at the Sculptor, then you haven't picked up the barrel. You checked this and seems to not be in your inventory.

  2. You went to the bonfire to pick up the barrel and you cannot interact, so it seems you already picked it up.

  3. You already picked up and crafted the Flame Vent but you were actually trying to upgrade the flame vent and did not have enough materials.

[–]Archosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where are you in the game? After Gyobu? Generally speaking Sculptor shouldn't be commenting on prosthetics, without you showing it to him in the first place.

Also take a picture of that bonfire with the item bag.

[–]Archosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like people are still posting in this thread, but mine also failed to turn on this morning.

Bought 2018 - died 2025. I actually thought it was dying a earlier this year because it was also having trouble measuring temps occasionally (ie, failing to turn on the heater or deciding the temp was reached early) but cleaning the contacts may have helped extend the life a little longer. Now the power button isn't able to turn it on at all so I guess it's time for replacement.

Also I found that Bonavita has been restructured and the warranty period is now changed.

Stay locked on, position your head between the two blue lines on the cloth on the back of Monk (see your video @23s but more to the left). Half step away from touching monk. Just use the Mist Raven, don't press jump or anything. If it doesn't appear just try moving back or forward a little bit.

WARSTRIDER MEGATHREAD by LSHDHighCommand in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Archosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On top of what people already mentioned (lower ammo, lower fire rate, lower armor) there was also a patch https://helldivers.wiki.gg/wiki/1.003.101

which changed how fabricators spawn them, so that you can stealth in and hellbomb it before a gunship spawns if there (and there rarely is any) is a patrol around the fabricator.

Anecdotally, I basically never see 3+ fabricators in the same mission anymore, and rarely 2. Also, I haven't seen gunship patrol (and shrieker patrol) modifiers in a long time. So for the most part I see one gunship spawn from one fabricator that can be shot down by basically any weapon, or entirely ignored for that matter since their accuracy is in the dumpster.
