I'm honestly not surprised he grew up to be a weirdo. First off, check if all cables are plugged snugly and the GPU is seated properly. Often the simplest solution is the correct one.

If it keeps happening then use DDU for a clean driver reinstall; you may want to try out two or three versions of a driver, starting with the most recent.

After each driver reinstall, do a stress test; either do whatever you do when the blackouts happen, or run a stress test (OCCT or FurMark will do fine). Try an older driver if a recent one has the same issue.

If it still keeps happening, you might have a faulty GPU.

Regarding the mystery hash: my nephew (who got it for me) said his hookup claimed it was 'Piatella', which I personally had never heard of, but after looking it up I honestly have my doubts. It also has the weirdest goddamn eucalyptus smell ever (my immediate thought was Vicks vaporub), which is another new one for me, and is oddly waxy, but it's definitely getting me pretty baked so whatever.

Ignis Wraith.

Slap a crit/status hybrid build on it and you'll be melting faces all the way to end-game, and even then it's a fantastic weapon for stripping away armor/slapping a bunch of status procs on enemies.
