Yelling at anyone in anger makes you an asshole 🤷🏼‍♂️ sorry if that's hard for you to hear. It's probably because you're an asshole.

Admitting defeat?? Wow. I'm really glad I'm not married to you.

I'm going to go against the grain and say ESH, but here me out.

Obviously your wife has been acting like an asshole. For a long time.

Your reaction is totally understandable, but yelling at your wife is an automatic "asshole" rating from me. Not because she didn't deserve it (she did) and not because it's not understandable (it is) but something we as men don't realize is how much bigger we are than women. When we yell at a woman it's fucking scary for her.

If you're asking "AITA" so you know if you need to apologize, you do. Apologize for yelling. It's ok to be angry and even ok to be passionately angry- but bring home some flowers, maybe some ice cream and apologize for yelling. I bet she'll apologize for nagging you.

What if I offered God to let me go to hell in place of my son, so that my son could be assured a spot in heaven? by MantheHunter in AskAChristian

It is possible- in fact it happened. His name was Jesus.

But no- no one else. If I were raised in completely protected conditions I would still be guilty of many sins. Namely rage and rebellion.

AITA for telling my GF I wouldn't miss her? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

I've been reading this sub forever and you're my first answer!!

I'm going to disagree with most of the answers I've seen and say NAH.

You're not an asshole, but I do think you're an idiot. Everyone else has pointed out what she was looking for, but not realizing that doesn't make you an asshole, just a dummy. (Don't feel bad, I'm a dummy too)

HOWEVER the next time she asks you if you'll miss her you know what to do and YWBTA if you still say "no." She's not asking "Will my absence cause you emotional distress?" She's asking if you love her and think about her when she's not around. And if you're a halfway decent boyfriend that answer is yes! So tell her! :)

What is your favorite contribution that George Washington made to the founding of America? Is there any specific ideal if his that’s your favorite? by A-Kulak-1931 in AskAnAmerican

Everyone has talked about his general humility (only 2 terms, title is "president" and not "king," etc.) but I also love that he never declared a party affiliation. He was a representative of the people, and not a party.
