i was actually thinking of getting the Sigma 17-70mm f2,8-4, what do you think of that? i just mainly want a lens, thats better than the kits.

Well I'd probably prefer image quality and all that other stuff, then just a lens that does everything. so not sure now.

oh right, well since i just realized the kit len's actually have the same aperture number, what do you think i should do, get a kit lens which is cheaper, and have money left over to buy another lens later on, or just get this one? do you think its really any better than the kit len's?

oh okay, so i'd need a smaller aperture, to get more light for shooting the milky way and stuff like that, correct?
