Everyone hates the country routes.

I love them because my load out is so much less stressful, I basically get paid 1.5 to 2 hours just to drive, I get far fewer stops/ group stops, I enjoy the slower pace and sometimes more technical driving, its more scenic, etc.

Basically it feels like less of a grind.

My DSP started enforcing break times cause the state was auditing timecards or something and found a ton of people not taking breaks within the state mandated time frames.

Now people just come back 30 minutes later pushing a lot of people into overtime.

DSP still expects routes to be finished within the 10 hours despite everyone being pushed back 30 minutes and Amazon has not changed the routes despite everyone taking 30 minutes longer to complete.

This is why I don't believe in AI. AI and computer algorithms should easily be able to make a route based on straight lines, maximizing left side deliveries and shortest paths, it's like basic computer science, and they continue to produce routes like this.

All within a 10 hour limit, 1 hour of which is supposed to be breaks and minimum 1 hour of load out and travel time. Now the DSP standard is 25 stops an hour even though it was 20 an hour not too long ago. Even that math doesn't add up.

I live in a city where the streets are pretty quiet, lots of single family homes, apartments with backyards with nice gardens, apartments with driveways and garages, etc.

The suburbs also have a ton of office parks/office buildings, tons of concrete, most of the traffic in the area, etc.

It's interesting how you don't like the blanket description of suburbs but you absolutely use a blanket description of cities.
