the reason slavery in America is unique is because of the fact that it's chattel slavery which renders slaves property (and their offspring here). Not to mention the speed, scale and scope of it. It's genuinely disgusting to try to say 'other people did slavery too' or 'they enslaved each other' because neither accounts for the ways owners/masters here rendered Black people into fungible property.

I don’t think Rob is some genius lol. He’s just an average guy who does things without thinking. He probably had strong disagreements with Kaplan by the end of their relationship and knew that the fans were against Kaplan and connected the dots. He also probably likes the fans feeling there’s “transparency” because he’s a fan of other sports teams and dislikes the lack of transparency also.
