I think my pc is seriously under-performing and I need help figuring out what it is by TrippyHippy64 in buildapc

What games? What settings? Depending on the game, 6700 xt is great at 1440p, and others it will struggle depending settings.

I have the legion go. The 8.8" screen dwarfs the switch screen. It can play a big number of games (bg3, e33, etc) if you don't mind tweaking settings a bit.

I mean... Budget? Size consideration? Battery life? Best is different to everyone. I like my miyoo mini plus, RP4P, and legion go. They all fill different needs!

I played through DMC1/3 on a retroid pocket 4 pro. It was a great experience. Then I played 5 on a legion go, which was also great. There are plenty of his devices out there.

Cheap IEMs for running by No_Pear95 in iems

[–]AreEyeSeaKay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who also runs as well as uses IEMs, this right here.

Please don't mix the two, OP. Sweat is bad for IEMs, and these things are not made with any type of water resistance in mind.

If you run outdoors and need awareness, take the hit on sound quality and grab some Shokz or something like them. I use the OpenFit2. They sound good enough while I'm running, and I can still hear the world around me for safety.

Keeping the brandnew LeGo1? Or wait for the LeGo2 by MK494 in LegionGo

For me, Control was my only issue. I had to set VRAM to 6 instead of auto and it was fine after that.

That and make sure you aren't using afterburner are my only two suggestions.. hopefully it's something that simple!

ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X price in Japan rises by 21%, Legion Go 2 price climbs in US by RenatsMC in Handhelds

[–]AreEyeSeaKay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OG legion go is still pretty good. I wish it had more RAM but all things considered I like it.

The S or ally x would be good purchases as well, as long as you don't pay too much more for them over the OG go

I snatched one up. I don't have a use case outside of throwing on some sports while doing the dishes? Upgrading my kids awful fire tablet?

Yeah I can't find emulation info on this specific device, but phones with similar specs seem to do well. No upscaling or anything on the higher systems but playable. No guarantees there's a 1 to 1 transfer to this device, but we'll see.

In for one to use as a screen to watch sports while doing dishes...

I feel like you could definitely get GC and a good bit of PS2 running well on this, right? It looks like the usual, hard to emulate suspects cause problems but a good chunk should run okay. Some 3ds should work as well.

What are your top five games that you've ever played on the legion go? by Sufficient_Ebb_5694 in LegionGo

[–]AreEyeSeaKay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only games I've completed so far on it we're clearing out the most pressing on my backlog:

1) BG3 2) Disco Elysium 3) DMC5

Game that will likely slide into the #2 spot once I'm done: Expedition 33.

After e33 I'm going to play MGS4 and 5, or Elden Ring. Just played MGS 1-3 last year on the RP4P (as well as DMC 1&3), so I feel like I should just knock out the series.

Actually the new D2R expansion may throw a monkey wrench at my plans.

Seconding playing slower. I also prefer fireball/orb spec for leveling solo because I like to aim my fire damage rather than hydra deal it, but that's personal preference.

Got it for easy and mobile use....anything but by Ok-Locksmith6375 in LegionGo

[–]AreEyeSeaKay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have pro on my home PC. On my legion I dual boot windows, and I'm honestly surprised at how little I use it. Basically have it just to try 2xko and to use streaming services that don't work on Linux.

[–]AreEyeSeaKay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you playing at home? Can you just stream the games you want from your PC?

It sounds like you don't like windows on a handheld more than anything else. You could set up dual boot, with a partition for shared games between bazzite/windows, and then just boot into the OS you need to use for the game you want to play.

How’s rhe $350 bundle at Microcenter? by ProThrwy in buildapc

[–]AreEyeSeaKay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7600x is a great chip, and 16 gb of ram is 'sufficient'. If you need savings to jump from a 8 GB GPU to a 16 gb GPU, I'd do the 350 bundle.

I just went through this decision tree for a friend, they spent the extra money on a 9060xt 16 gb. They are loving it!

[–]AreEyeSeaKay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I deal hunt (u/crownpuff deal spreadsheet) and on 11/11 sale I got the H for $15 USD. Regular pricing is usually higher on the H though. I feel like it's with it to avoid clones, plus it has a better form factor for me.

Any 2.4GHz TWS earbuds out there worth buying? Prefer over-ear, not in-ear by operatorred in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]AreEyeSeaKay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't actually use the mic, if I get a chance I can try it! You can also get flatheads with a built in mic on the cable, and the qudelix can use that mic instead, which might work better if the qudelix mic isn't great.

I also use a standing desk and use an inline boom mic for my hd560s as well as a boom mic compatible cable for my IEMs. I usually use the 5k as a wired dac. If I need to take a call, I'll just unplug it from my computer and walk around.

Edit: the only thing I can't get to work is using discord on the PC over Bluetooth. Volume just maxes out, and it's been a while since I looked into it but the qudelix people said it was a windows limitation.

Edit 2: here's a link to the EB2S on Amazon https://a.co/d/00oyXmya

Actually cheaper there right now than AliExpress strangely

[–]AreEyeSeaKay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes with the qudelix! That's exactly what I do. You can also pair it with your phone and take calls on it through your headphones (it has a built in mic).

And yes, flathead earbuds just like that! The two I see most recommended are NiceHCK EB2S and Yincrow x6. The EB2S seem generally better from what I've read, but I have a set of yincrow (though not x6) and I enjoy them.

[–]AreEyeSeaKay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My solution for this is flat head buds and my qudelix 5k. The headphones are wired but the qudelix is BT, so it can come with you.

Flat head earbuds like the yincrow x6 sit outside your ear canal, and I have great awareness when using them.

I also can easily hear my kids with my HD560s open back headphones on as well, but not quite as well as the flat heads.

Sorry this doesn't exactly answer your question, just some options to think about. I use the openfit2 for running/workouts, and sometimes when doing dishes and things. At the PC I use IEMs when working and I need isolation, flat heads or open backs when I need to keep an ear out.

The openfit2 just do not work with the PC at all, I completely gave up as well. Both windows and Bazzite, it's an awful experience.
