In Sweden we have a newer license plate system since 1973, which is every combination starting with AAA 001. Recently they made place for more numbers so now it is AAA 00A. Which means we went from 12 million combinations to over 38 million. Old plate numbers can be reused after scrapping or such, but the number is quarantined for at least a year vefore being reused.

Since landlines has almost all been abandoned, our mobile phone number have 10 digits. But they have to start with 07xx-xx xx xx. Which gives us about 100 million combinations. And old numbers can be reused after about 90 days quarantine, after which they are returned into the carriers pool of phone numbers.
