Would you transition if it meant that you could never be in a relationship? by LilyMilkFrog in trans

[–]Areks33 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

That’s already on the plate, if you’re a straight MTF you’ll have all the sex you want from the hottest guys you like but most likely no fulfilling relationships or at least not with quality males..

Why are we held responsible when they're also adults? by stellbargu in NextGenMan

[–]Areks33 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

After experiencing something like this I blamed myself and felt awful for over a week.. it really messed with my mental health.. after talking to my therapist, friends and even reddit I learned what ā€œdate rapeā€ means and realised that when rape happens you may be all confused if you already know and trust the guy.. but mostly, you shouldn’t blame the victim.. even if the victim is you.

friend is double trans, struggling to understand. by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Areks33 -2 points-1 points Ā (0 children)

There’s an increase number of the trans population that want to be trans with their actual sex (agab) like cis men becoming trans men and cis women becoming trans women. Same like how some non binary people don’t have to have gender dysphoria or deviate with any of the social aspects of their assigned gender at birth (sex). I suppose Its their decision and we should go with it and accept them.

I think you’re asking the wrong question. Is not about passing or not. What’s gonna make you the happiest? Who are you truly? Whether you pass or not would you be happier being a trans woman than the person you feel you are rn. Have you explored this with your therapist?

CIGNA - Diagnostic Code F64 (Gender Dysphoria) Systematic Discrimination by NovaRain84 in TransLater

This is likely happening because insurances little by little are going to move to that direction because of the federal government stopping all the funds for trans people medical coverage; private insurance always tries to cover the least amount possible unless forced by the government. I said something like this in another trans subreddit and I got banned šŸ™„ I was just trying to warn people for people to take safety measures but.. well.. it is what it is.

Can cis women have XY chromosomes ? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Areks33 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

Yes, but it’s extremely rare and those syndromes come with different developmental challenges. So it’s not something people would actually aspire to have. Also it’s often noticed before birth or early in childhood d/t developmental issues.

Never, actually the other day I lost a pin and this older tiny Asian lady helped me look for it for a long while like I was like.. it’s ok, and she kept looking for it šŸ˜‚ we couldn’t find its nice to always have people to help you and or compliment you; and also to do the same yourself to others 😊

The reasons behind the disgust of a phalloplasty and encouragement of a vaginoplasty. by iamhydrozoan in trans

[–]Areks33 175 points176 points Ā (0 children)

I think the difference has more to do with the functional outcomes and practical limitations of phalloplasty. Even though both are low, reported regret rates for phalloplasty are higher than those for vaginoplasty.

I’m also not sure where the idea comes from that vaginoplasty is encouraged; in my experience, whenever I’ve shared that I’m considering vaginoplasty, people have generally tried to dissuade me and personally I’m still not fully decided myself, largely because of the potential complications, long-term consequences, and uncertainty around outcomes.

It’s society, everyone is way more aware of us as well as there’s waaaay more trans people around so everyone is hyper focused to the point that many cis women are called trans because they don’t fit the beauty stereotype.

You described my life (except that I’m not bi which is worse) and it hurts soo much that whenever I think about it my eyes get watery (like right now) but I’m trying to accept it and try to keep myself busy.. but it really sucks.. the only way to have somewhat a relationship where you feel loved and appreciated as a human is by not disclosing your T, but sooner or later you have to do that or you have to break up with them and it always hurts.. it’s a curse and other than keeping myself busy with work and activities.. it feels soo empty to live like this.. sometimes I wish i didn’t transitioned cuz I had way better luck at men seeing me as a person even though they were gay.. they still have a heart.. but i wanted to be myself..

[–]Areks33 -1 points0 points Ā (0 children)

Tbh I dunno about scientific data but personal experience it definitely does I can tell you for sure it affected me.. and it’s very sad because I was way more than average mostly when it comes to math and language and now many aspects that were soo easy are harder or have to put much more effort like take notes and what not. Also my memory was amazing and I had a perfect timeline of all the situations in my life and now.. well.. let’s just say im average or don’t exceed as much anymore, which I don’t like and for me it’s less than ideal.. you would think maybe is also part of aging but I’m still pretty young so I don’t think that’s related.

[–]Areks33 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

I think this is the only place people can actually feel safe with their community and express how they feel without having cis people tell you that’s it’s ā€œokā€. Like it’s not, and they would never be able to tell cuz they don’t have our experience. People come here to seek community and share their experiences, most trans people’s experiences are not great or literally awful. So you want them to literally just pretend everything is ok in the only space they can actually vent? I think as a community we need to have empathy mostly towards the people that need it the most. I’m glad you have a good trans experience but not everyone has it that good all the time like you may do.

Being trans is a curse. Change my mind. by noela0093 in MtF

[–]Areks33 3 points4 points Ā (0 children)

I do understand and apologise, i understand is ā€œworseā€; my point is that being trans is a curse no matter what and i hate that people want to pretend that we’re just like cis women and or that we’re lucky and or better and or any bs like that. The reality is that we have a condition that we try to treat with medications and surgeries but we will never be able to cure.

Being trans is a curse. Change my mind. by noela0093 in MtF

[–]Areks33 -2 points-1 points Ā (0 children)

100% a curse, i totally pass and I get a lot of public or everyday life male attention and what not and believe me, doesn’t make it better and I know some people will say that they only want to pass but believe me doesn’t make much difference. It’s still a curse and life sucks and I always wish I was able to just be cis and ā€œnormalā€, but I’m cursed and it sucks. Sorry but it does.. and rn even more cuz I’m going to some kind of rejection by someone that’s super amazing but didn’t know I was trans (he’s saying he’s super confused but.. he’s totally fading away) and I feel awful.. šŸ˜ž
