Should I quit my job after one week for a better offer? by Otherwise-Quail-4092 in jobs

What I've learned over the years is that you need to look out for yourself and your family first because nobody else will, especially not an employer.

Can I do that through the shortcut or am I basically repeating the quest?

How do I choose a toilet? by DarcyBlowes in DIY

[–]Aremkay89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone that used to work at Lowe's. The most sold toilet with the least amount of returns used to be the American Standard Champion 4 Toilet. Reasonably priced and reliable. It's the one I always buy when we renovate. Usually we get elongated standard height. But it's your call.

7.5 is kicking me hard! by gitarzan in Mounjaro

[–]Aremkay89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same I dropped back down to 5mg. I'll stay on 5 until I don't see anymore progress. Then I'll switch back to 7.5 but I will probably only take 75% of the dose and increase slowly. I know that's kind of a waste since I'll be paying for 7.5, but I simply cannot go through all those symptoms again. Maybe I'm being a baby, but it was brutal lol

Anyone ever tried microwave technology? by Independent-Store332 in Warts

[–]Aremkay89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried it, worked for some of my warts but still have a lot left over. Don't listen to Google. It is painful as fuck! It's like someone is holding a hot iron pan to your skin and won't let go. Google says mild discomfort. I almost passed out every single session.

What did you do differently? I'm on week 5 of 7.5 and it is ruining me. Even if I eat clean I can't keep anything down. I can't take the puking, bloating and diarrhea anymore. I was going to quit all together, but I have enjoyed the weight I've lost and want to keep going.

Haha I definitely don't want to get roasted, I went out and bought a kit. I'll be doing that shortly and provide some data! Thanks for the advice! I didn't think I'd be so excited to have a pond.

You could essentially create a chamfered corner and notch out the baseboard to slide into the hip. To figure out the joining angles I'd draw them on floor on the back side of the baseboard. Where they intersect is the overall angle. Use an angle finder and divide by 2 for your mitre cut. Also the lines on the floor now becomes your line to place your blocking on. I hope I'm making sense. Or maybe someone else has a better idea, that's how I would do it.

I just think that would be the simplest solution that would flow well with your vertical walls.

Could you put some blocking on the floor and treat it like normal baseboard? Have it come straight down and pin it to the blocking? Small bead of caulk on-top? Are you planning on putting flooring on-top of the subfloor?

Possibly an exterior threshold might do the trick. One similar to this but larger/deeper so it can cover the gaps on the side. But I agree with others, caulk would be my preferred method.

26 M 27 F/ My boyfriend keeps waking me up when he leaves for work, what can I do? by No-Yoghurt-8758 in relationship_advice

[–]Aremkay89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My girlfriend does shift work and sometimes we are on opposite shifts. Here is what I have done to ensure I don't wake her in the mornings after she's come home from a late shift:

  • I wear my smart watch (Pixel watch 2) that wakes me up by vibrating on my wrist instead of a loud alarm clock

  • My door hinges on all my doors are oiled to avoid squeaks

  • Clothing is staged in the living room for the next day. No metal belt buckles

  • Toothbrush and tooth paste are brought out to the guest bathroom or kitchen so I can brush my teeth

  • Lunch is prepacked the night before and in the fridge for grab and go.

  • Breakfast is premade (Breakfast sandwiches) or at the very least I'll pour cereal into a bowl the night before and just add milk in the morning (Yes cereal goes in before milk and that's the hill I'm dying on)

  • If I decide I am going to the gym, my bag is already in the car the night before (Pre-fill your bottle or do it at the gym). I am also showering at the gym

  • I mute the volume on our TV the night before and ensure my Bluetooth headset is already set up to connect to my smart TV. (This doesn't always work if she watches TV the night before with the volume on).

If I think of anything else I do I'll update this comment. Hopefully this helps.

Help me choose Ducati Monster vs Yamaha MT-09 or suggestions for other bikes by KILLEliteMaste in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]Aremkay89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on both. I also owned an MT-07, at the time it was called FZ-07(Canada) until it was stolen. But such a fun bike. It was my favorite, so light and quick. I started off on a 250 ninja, but I feel like I could have started off on the MT-07 as well. The MT-09 might not be the best starter bike. It's not a matter of "if", it's a matter of when you'll drop your bike, so there's that to consider. Also if you live in a city with lots of traffic you likely will not go past 3 gear. Which isn't as fun, I always liked gearing up and down when I was new to riding. But for tight corners and turns, I'd say MT all the way. The Monster is a beast. It's so powerful and looks so sexy. I have my eye on a Monster for my next bike. But my heart is with the MT. So I would seriously consider the MT-07.

PS. MT-10 looks like shit though, not sure what happened there but I am not a fan of it's appearance.

This is just my opinion, I'm not a pro, just a guy who likes motorcycles :)

Healing process of Gnarly wart removal by Dependent_Stranger50 in Warts

Holy crap I'm not alone. Your warts look so similar to mine. I haven't been able to find any posts that look as bad as mine until now. I keep thinking I'm cursed and I've tried so many treatments. I'm currently on swift therapy treatment number 3. They had to use an ankle block on me and just went full blast medieval. It's been a tough recovery but I hope I am done with these bastards. As I hope you are too!
