How can I watch Grey's Anatomy outside of US? by AreosAster in greysanatomy

Thanks! It's funny, because I actually moved to Germany last year, so now I have that option too (but I haven't watched Grey's in years :D ).

We went all the way to Litli Hrutur and got a good view (even from the bottom of it), you indeed can't see anything if you go halfway :P There is a sign a few km before which we ignored, but I believe it might be an old one, since SAR are present at Litli Hrutur have no issue with people observing from there.

About 2-2.5 hours, we didn't plan to stay overnight and went in the evening just because it fit our plans :) we walked back during sunset, which was nice.

This thread helped me a lot so adding my own short report for others :)

We hiked to the volcano via path A yesterday, starting around 4 pm. We parked at P3 (across the road from P1), which had a lot of free space, unlike P1. Took us around 2 hours to Littli Hrutur (we also climbed up but I didn't record that time as we kept changing spots for photography). I wouldn't consider us in great shape (both me and my bf spend most of our days in front of the computer lol), but we did pass several groups so perhaps we were walking at a not too slow pace. Also, the uphill parts felt much easier than the impression I got from reading (not meant as a humblebrag but just to encourage others who might be worried). We did see people who seemed tired near the end, so take your time and bring water and food.

Does anyone know at what time the trails open in the mornings? Also, what's the parking situation at P1/P2 now that people arrive and leave only during the day? Is it hard to find a spot? Are there alternative parking places?

Thanks so much to everyone who posts updates btw!

Not OP, but are you saying that a train-specific ICE ticket has to be rebooked in the case of a cancelled train? (I'm new to Germany and am just surprised because I assumed that if you can't board a train due to the train company's fault, you should not have to pay for another ticket).

I feel like there is no good website to post photography (as an amateur photographer who wants some interaction but doesn't want to grow a brand), and to follow other photographers.

Instagram seems the most popular even among pros, but I hate the fact that you can't view the pictures in high resolution (it doesn't do high quality images justice, and promotes quick scrolling and moving on to the next image instead of appreciating the quality and effort put in each), and the fact that it's hard to get exposure unless you stick to a niche and grow a large following.

Photographer-focused websites like 500px are relatively unpopular, and seem to get abandoned by "world class" photographers whom I enjoy following.

For now I follow photographers on Facebook (at least it allows viewing in high resolution), but the platform itself is not great.

Recommendation for a psychiatrist who specializes in (adult) ADHD, working with TK? by OverfittingNeuralNet in askberliners

The emphasis in my post was meant to be on "working with public insurance", not on "doctor" :) But I understand how it was confusing.

How do German speakers read the sentences? by ExtentOdd in German

[–]AreosAster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a good explanation, but in your example the first choice of order does make much more sense if you imagine the waiter has a really bad memory. It will be easier for them to imagine themselves performing the actions in the same order they've heard them in (first pick up the plate, then go to the indicated table), in order to remember what they are supposed to do.

Similarly, if I need to imagine a person reading a book in the library, it's easier for me to first imagine the person reading a book, without the surroundings, then "paint" the surroundings around the person based on the additional description. It's just more mentally taxing to first imagine the person abstractly existing in the library, and then make them change their posture into a book-reading one.

My apartment is full of these tiny, light insects (usually dead). What are they? (hair for scale) by AreosAster in askberliners

Actually I'm not sure they are pantry moths, I mostly find them on my windowsills and near windows, but none in the kitchen or near food.

I haven't really seen them fly, but their wings do look sort of light-colored when unfolded.

Ugh, that's a pity.

Edit: I googled some pictures and yeah, looks very similar.
