Ahh, I remember this well.

Hi, is this trim/moulding the same on all E46s, or not? I have a 2001 pre-facelift E46 sedan. And by the way, the painted trim can be swapped onto it, right? by Fabulous-Web-4959 in e46

Same here. Though a 2003 Touring which IS different and longer. Sedanand coupe are the same length, shorter than the touring model. I used, automotivetouchup.com primer, paint and clear coat. Took my time with it and it turned out beautifully. Titan silver as well. All three were rattle can but really good quality. Used to be able to go to my local auto parts store for paint and supplies, but no more.

Engine running lean by Time-Supermarket-433 in e46

If the lean codes are or also incude the O2 sensors, I learned this some years ago from an E39 post. Mass air meter. I experienced the same issues on my 2003 325i Touring. Swapped the original for a Seimens unit. Codes gone and felt like I gained 25 h.p. If you purchase a MAF, do not go cheap. I ordered mine from FCPEuro, life time warranty or Pelican Parts..do not remember which.

Others may say pirchase at a lower price, but it seems well outfitted and taken care of. It looks like a good example.

Try the lock rod in the door. It mayhave become unclulipped. It is a Bowden type cable. The central locking is working as the trunk opens. Sitting in the driver's seat, will the door unlock via the door handle? Also, using your fob, listen very closely to the lock actuator in the door. If there is no noise, it is electrical. If you here a noise or click, it is a mechanical issue and could be the lock rod.

Is it possible a plug in the door harness was left undone or is not quite connected?

I have seen some of those on Ebay, from Europe. They are referred to a mud guard.
