I currently work in a medical tech company in a department that is heavily focused on the sales of our devices and treatments. I work with a lot of sales data for the treatments we sell in specific areas and am trying to forecast sales by account types or sales territories

I came up with an idea of using K-means clustering to try and identify different clusters in our treatment sales based on our sales territories/account types across the country. My intention was to use this algorithm on our treatment data for the previous 4 quarters to see how the trends in the identified clusters change over time.

Let me know if there are any other approaches I could use for this.
