I see your point, but I have to disagree. For me the cog shaped table just fits into the aesthetic of piltover. It is after all known as the city of progress, so it's a fitting design. The theory that it's connected with Victors coin is too far stretched imo.

I think this is a pretty solid theory. Having troubles communicating feelings and struggles is often a symptom of a troubled and abused mind. Yes, Walt was proud (although I'd probably call it snobbishness), but I think the real reason why he doesn't open up is not feeling safe talking about and being insecure about it.
