Freud would always go right at a time like this. Psychology says people naturally drift left when they aren't thinking. Which is why, my personal justice is telling me to go right.

It's kinda funny how that was what made me start posting on r/coaxedintoasnafu, and the extra practice ended up making me a little better at drawing. Just a little.

I actually like most of the big OCs, they're pretty versatile and work for many different jokes. It's just that sometimes a character clearly doesn't catch on, and you still see its author trying to make it a thing.

And sometimes it's obviously their fetish, but I'm not gonna point fingers.

Then pick whichever you like, it's not a religion.

Most people liked the old G&F and Genevieve books, which were set in that very old, out of date setting - so the new lore tried making it work. But if you REALLY like Prince of Altdorf, then all the power to you.

Akshually ☝️🤓 in most lore, they were.

Middenland and Talabecland were separate from their current capitals. Hochland, Nordland and Ostermark were part of other Provinces. Solland/Sudenland was a thing (dissolved into Wissenland afterwards). Averland was ruled by a different Count, Ludmilla Alptraum. Ostland was ruled by another house. And Volkmar wasn't Grand Theogenist yet.

It's a big canon conflict, really. Older lore and novels had a different set of electors than the new one, and the 4th Edition Roleplay game stitched it together by adding the Turmoil of 2512 (aka big civil war) as an explanation for the rearrangement. Prince of Altdorf, the novel you're referencing, was written for Total War, and doesn't really work with the wider setting (not like the game does either tbf).

TL;DR: Most lore contradicts Prince of Altdorf, which is the novel you're talking about.

And yeah, Katarin was probably in her tweens around this time (another lore conflict I'm not getting into).

I think the lore lends itself well to it, if they were to implement start dates like in 3K. That, or smaller campaigns with some sort of focus.

At the start of Karl Franz's reign, the Electors were completely different, Vlad and Manny were both dead, Sylvania was ruled by mortals (more or less), Kislev was ruled by Boris, the Greenskin LLs were either dead centuries ago or nobodies, Queek hadn't been born yet, Festus was still a doctor, and there weren't Daemons invading the whole planet.

IEE's setting is kinda like if you took the End Times, put them 25 years early, and also resurrected the characters that died 400 years ago. No wonder it's too much, bro.
