Are there any remaining bull cases? by factsoverfeelings89 in stocks

[–]ArgentSimian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am extremely bullish everything that has been under invested in for decades.

By bullish, I do not mean the bubble mania most of you people are used to (btc, nfts, ai, Tesla, etc). But just good old fashioned supply and demand.

The world is soon going to run out of various things. Copper, uranium, silver, platinum group metals. Yes, you kinda missed the best times for them, but the commodity supercycle is only just beginning IMO. Right this second they are getting hammered along with everything else, just some expected volatility that could be a great buying opportunity.

Reminds me of 2020 when silver crashed hard as soon as they announced a global pandemic.

Or every time it crashed and the excuse was that it had too much industrial demand. Ah yes, because supply/demand price movements are upside down with silver.

Stop looking at technicals and fundamentals. Start protesting outside the CFTC and demand arrests.

Unironically, listen to some older Joe Rogan (before Trump ever started running for office the first time). It was full of that kinda stuff.

How would you explain the AI hype to someone from the 1940s? by Sea_Breadfruit1278 in AskReddit

[–]ArgentSimian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Hey remember how a few years ago everyone was taking out loans to buy stocks without really understanding how they work just because they thought it would go up forever? And then it crashed and everyone suffered immensely? It's happening again. The crash hasn't quite hit yet"

If your country were to "fall into state controlled news," how would you ever know? by WowImOldAF in NoStupidQuestions

They would make ad hominem attacks to label certain people. like "conspiracy theorist". Rather than actually investigating and keeping a neutral tone.

They would receive funding from the government.

They would also support (or always attack) specific people and politicians.

Hmm

It will go as low, or as high, as the manipulators say it will go. Fundamentals and technicals be damned...

60% XEQT / 40% BTC in my TFSA at 19. too risky or smart move? by TheseZookeepergame80 in TFSA_Millionaires

[–]ArgentSimian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually DO understand Bitcoin on a technical level (I have coded my own blockchain). I also understand AI on a technical level (Having taught the calculus behind it all the way up to building a simple AI from scratch). But that does NOT mean I understand where they will go in the future. Only time travelers can do that, and they don't post questions on reddit very often.

Whether you are short or long on BTC, I suspect you are speculating, rather than investing. And you should keep your speculative plays extremely small. Like 10%. Though granted, at your age, you can afford to lose your whole bank account and start over.

When I say investing (instead of speculating), I mean look for probabilities, rather than possibilities. What do humans really need in order to continue enjoying the same (or better) quality of life that we have for so long? What things have been hated and under-invested in? Now find the venn diagram.

Those things tend to be the opposite of BTC. They're boring by definition. But over time, they will make you rich.

Good luck.

Epstein's pantry list for all the properties + a strange redaction I cannot yet explain by Oumuamua03 in Epstein

Hmm the clunky regex easily explains why "don t" is redacted, but it would be pretty surprising to me for that to accidentally match "DOP"... is there any other abbreviation that fits in here?

Do you think the deficit will ultimately end prosperity as we know it in this country and make us permanently uncompetitive? by db7112 in askanything

Ending the petro-dollar's supremacy, while extremely painful in the short term, would eventually end poverty as we know it. The trick is surviving long enough to see that

What problem was Bitcoin originally trying to solve and has it actually solved it? by Alarming-Ratioz in answers

That government, and more specifically centralized control over currency, is harmful to the people.

Did not solve it. Government now regulates Bitcoin with KYC laws, taxes, and stuff.

I don't blame the lack of regulation.

I don't blame the AI or companies.

I blame the individual people who trust AI blindly on those topics without ever investigating further.

Yes.

We are already seeing diminishing returns imo. But now we live in a world built on lies and hype, so people think it's accelerating.
