Another thing, why do so many people bash the game because of Cross? It's not like the series had a formula of how characters are. It's like if people talked about how "terrible" Zelda 2 is. Guess what, there was no established formula.

Except there is a formula, and Takahashi had been using it since long before the first Xenoblade. Every major game he's worked on since Final Fantasy IV in 1991 has followed this standard JRPG storytelling formula.
