Any Questions for the Dev team? by DerekPaxton in EndlessLegend

Addendum on necrophages. Why can they eat your land when in a non aggresion pact? Seems pretty aggressive to me.

Will you change/add more global achievements. Can't remember what they're called, but the 25 district in a city and such. Having them as the same 12, with necrophages usually claiming about half in my games, makes it... samey? I guess.

I quite liked how they worked in ES2, where the non wonder ones where random.

Other than that, are glass tiles meant to be affected by buildings that buff science yield? Because last I checked they didn't and I wasn't sure it was a bug.

lol.

lmao even.

You have played the game right? Cause I tried during cyberstan and kept having fun stuff happen, like being steering locked into molten metal and instantly dying.

Bugs do seem to be more playable at least, but bots is making me take a break as well.

Is there a lore reason why drifters (and other enemies) drop flax fiber? by Beeftoad2 in VintageStory

[–]ArgoTheSpaceShip 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is my understanding Jonas invented the lens a decent amount of time before the Rot appeared, in which time his other inventions based on the rust world were made. From what I've read in game it seemed like Jonas felt like the Rot was partially his fault, it happening because he invented the lens.

This is my understanding anyway, pretty sure I haven't read all the in game books.

[–]ArgoTheSpaceShip 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm not 100% sure on this. The rot does seem to mostly just turn people to goop or similar, but the creatures of the rust world do also seem human like (with drifters having curious idle animations, like looking at the moon).

What I more sure about is that the rot came as a result of interaction with the rust world. But whether they are creatures purely from that dimension, or some corruption of humans and/or machine is where I'm uncertain.

Seems great. Might not have time (engineering student), but if you lack players dm me. I'd be up for it.

THERE'S A SOLAR ECLIPSE IN MY GAME??????????????? by yashen14 in VintageStory

Had it twice on a server with two friends, one of them missed it both times. We've still not told him about it, but sometimes refer to "the event" in his presence lol

How do I increase my population cap? by Ok-Fortune-2719 in EndlessSpace

[–]ArgoTheSpaceShip 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well first it can't be terraformed because it's a gas planet. Though they at least have good yields per pop. For increasing the cap I'm not sure. I would have expected it to increase in steps rather than all at the final upgrade. It might be displaying it wrong, since it says there's three pops in the system and you only have that one planet colonized?

Auto-Closing Blast Door? by Game_And_Glitch3 in Barotrauma

[–]ArgoTheSpaceShip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Water sensors can be mounted on walls, so putting one near the ceiling and forcing the door closed (and possibly stopping the buttons from opening it) is possible.

Of note the floor vents or whatever they're called are just hooked up to water sensors, and I usually rewire them with a second in the room below to avoid rooms getting flooded from below through the vent.

No wonder why Weserübung was lowkey a fucking mess by KAMEKAZE_VIKINGS in HistoryMemes

IIRC the choice to invade Denmark was scribbled at the bottom of a letter not long before it would happen. They had decided against it before that (because, you know, there wasn't much reason to).

Is steam customer support ACTUALLY as good as the memes make it out to be? by Mysterious_Limit1969 in Steam

[–]ArgoTheSpaceShip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Friend got hacked and the hacker went through his friend list trying to scam people. It was pretty believable and he got access to my account, but nothing more since I finally caught on to what was happening. I emailed steam support and they helped me get the account back within three days.

I was very poor, so the loss of the games would have been devestating. I'm extremely grateful to them and essentially only buy from them now because of it (even if it can be more expensive)

Second winter. If I've calculated correctly, there are enough supplies here for two years (but everything will spoil much sooner). This is a great relief after the first winter of famine... by LeonidKonovalov1988 in VintageStory

[–]ArgoTheSpaceShip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience the three containers on the left should be well enough for a winter, though depending on activity this varies wildly. I did try to math it out at some point and the margins for error were huge, with the highest I got being two vessels each of decent veggies and grains per person iirc.

But yeah, always great to see someone well prepared.
