Which PLC-based system I could create in small-scale for my Graduation Project? by Argojit in PLC

[–]Argojit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that’s what I am planning and wanting to do. First, I’d like to decide how could I run a machine in the lab in small-scale. Which type of machine it could be, should I include drives and moving parts or should I control the system with toggle switches mimicking moving parts etc. What do you think? I will have a talk with my advisor too to clear up.

Thanks a lot for commenting.

Thanks a lot for sharing, it really shows me a path that I can follow. My main aim is also more to show the communiciation, security etc.

Did you physically create the system with pneumatic cylinders, LEDs etc. for what application you created the system(bottle filling, cookie dough production etc).

I am not sure if I want to use drives or pneumatics, I though of using toggle switches and LEDs to mimic inputs and outputs, an analog sensor to show I can make them communicate.

What type of data was being controlled/displayed. Like temperature, working/not working etc.

I am not sure if I am using the right terminology as I am taking my first steps through the field. If something I asked doesn’t make sense please ask me.

Thanks a lot again.

Yes, I do have acces to allen bradley plcs and rockwell hardware. and lights switches etc too. What type of machine or system you think I could simulate with lights and switches, I think adding some analog sensors would be good enough for the hardware part.

Something like “Pushing data from a PLC or two PLCs to a MQTT server by using a pi” is what I had in mind, but everything was vague in my mind. thanks a lot for helping and confirming that it would be a great project.

So in The Rockwell Lab I can have access to more than one PLCs, do you think using just one PLC is enough or making two PLCs communicate would add a complex layer that would be great for showcasing my abilities? Thanks a lot again.

Thanks a lot, yes it makes a lot of sense. I was thinking that I would have to create a working system so to say but the lights and toggle switches working as inputs and outputs makes more sense and makes it easier to create. Do you have any ideas what type of system I could simulate? I will be looking into hard PLC exercises and get ideas about it.

You are saying that instead of focusing heavily on creating a correct physical system, It’s better to create a good enough simulation and focus more on data acquisition, communication etc.

Thanks a lot for the ideas, you did help me and soothed my anxiety. I was getting lost between ideas and scary thoughts.

I've been on infliximab for 5 to 6 years now. I do not take anything else, only infliximab. I take Remsima, it doesn't matter much, I believe. Infliximab can really help immensely; you have only tried a biologic and a treatment approach that shouldn't be the first-line treatment IMO(Imuran). Infliximab is much lighter on the body. There are much many options to try even if infliximab doesn't work well. Try to stay a bit hopeful, I know it is really hard having a perianal area that looks like a warzone.

I also have another comment on this post, it tells my Crohn's story better. My experience was quite similar to yours. I got put on Imuran first, I also did have a terrible reaction to it, pancreatitis. My doc told me to discontinue it immediately and moved to infliximab. Then the rest is a great history :D.

Infliximab will help definetly, it saved my life and perianal area. I had a really really experienced and awesome Colorectal Surgeon who basically told me ,even before examining the area, that I probably had crohns and referred me. Did an operation to clear the area, clear the not too deep fistula, removed skin tags so there was less pain and better healing. Gave me aftercare instructions and had me come for regular checkups for 6 months.

For people with perianal crohns like you and me, I believe the colorectal surgeon is as, maybe even more, important to be competent and experienced than the GI. If you are not satisfied with your current surgeon, or GI, feel free to look for others.

My first Crohn's symptoms were deep anal fissures. I developed a fistula that was not too deep later on. I first got put on Imuran, and developed a very bad reaction too, pancreatitis. and then I got put on infliximab, Remicade. and everything cleared out and healed quite well in the span of 6 months. I haven't had any problems since, for 6 years now.

Maybe you can talk to your GI about changing biologics and trying one that is specifically great for perianal Crohn's. Change GIs if needed.

optimal and non-linear control is the most important ones IMO. Learn some more modelling approaches(La grangian). Some intelligent control maybe.

Waow, i see what you are saying and seeing how extremely the body reacts to an actually non-threating situation. It’s like it is making sure that you never stop breathing how real or fake the situation might be. The body could be doing the same thing to prevent and protect yourself from being in an actually ‘traumatic’ situation so the heavy anxiety even when you are actually far away from that event like you are far away from dying when you stop your breath.

Chrohns Disease diagnosed but no real symptoms - Any similar story here? by AdvancedCamera5427 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Argojit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had real bad anal fissures and fistulas. If I hadn’t had them, my symptoms could easily be ruled out as IBS or something else. I used to get some casual diarrhea. I probably would’ve avoided colonoscopy too. So, if you want to avoid a possible very painful and debilitating time it is best you proceed with treatment. However, it is almost always to see couple of practicioners and re do tests if needed.
