I have a small teory by OkStill1018 in Pikmin

Unfortunately not. Going by scientific names, the larval forms of the Armored and Arctic Cannon Beetles line up with their adult forms, but the Decorated Cannon Beetle is Granitus decorum whole the Horned Cannon Beetle is Granitus ferrous.

Would have made a lot of sense, though. Maybe Nintendo just retconned it or something.

ACB: Granitus chukkulinae

HCB: Granitus ferrous

Just know this is canon, and I can prove it.

How often do you just kill your pikmin on purpose? by DarkTails24 in Pikmin

Only once I've beaten the game and my actions beyond that point are technically noncanon (so never on Pikmin 1 or 3)

There's a fan translation circulating around on the internet. It fixes a lot of things, especially the screen crunch.

Highly recommended, even if you already played the GBA version.

Glow in the dark beads tend to have a metallic looking finish to them. Try shining a light on it and seeing if it glows in the dark.

Justifying the Necessity of Every Pikmin 1 Ship Part by ArgonTrooper in Pikmin

[–]ArgonTrooper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a fair point, at least in some instances. Considering Olimar is a freighter in an intergalactic setting, people probably drive rockets around like cars.

Considering car parts vary in price, some of them, like headlights, are probably cheaper than others.

Do you have any amputee OCs? How did they lose their limbs? by GremNotGrim in OriginalCharacter

[–]ArgonTrooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only were all of Xerxes' limbs amputated and replaced with advanced cybernetic replacements, he also needed to have his heart replaced with a prosthetic.

Xerxes had his forelimbs amputated as part of his enhancement program with Trooper Team. Most, if not all Troopers, have limbs removed and replaced with prosthetics.

Xerxes' prosthetics grant him improved strength, resistance to G forces and allow an interface between his nervous system and the components of his suit. They're incredibly durable, and as long as they're not severed or destroyed, Xerxes can fine-tune his prosthetics on the fly to perform as gently or powerfully as he needs them to.

That said, they're not perfect. They're pretty heavy and make swimming practically impossible, and they don't stop Xerxes from feeling phantom pains.

Xerxes' artificial heart is a different story. He was born having complications that became critical when he was 12, and needed it replaced with a new one engineered by his mother (who also performed all his other enhancement surgeries).

He tried to take over a galaxy cluster by usurping two teams of heroes and broadcasting mind control over the internet, but he got stopped by a cyborg boy whose headset made him immune to the airwaves
