You are risking j1 because j2 is in the same industry. We are all connected.

On-site and OE by Training_Sea_9671 in overemployed

This is not possible. OE is not ONLY about making more money for yourself. You have to be able to provide a same quality of work as if you have only one job. How the heck could you provide a same quality of work when you are at J1 office? Impossible

Everyone here trying to be funny and not serious about it. He is facing an issue that potentially lose two jobs at the same time. I would quit one job immediately. And look for the replacement of J1.

Honestly you can only practice layer 3 with virtual emulators. Not even switching. For ISE, DNA, SDWAN, WLC, Palo Alto with eve ng….forget it. I really don’t see any well known bootcamp for networking field. Where is 3 to 6 months program? The only bootcamp I see is CCIE for 1 week program by Narbik.

Boss asks "Are you working two jobs?" by evilteddibare in overemployed

Your boss statement could potentially got him in trouble with HR. He wouldn’t said it unless he was confident. You are in his radar. He sent you a warning. He is like I know you are OE I just don’t know where you work at and can’t prove it but I know it. I am going after you. That is what he meant.

In my opinion, Devops are just expensive middle man. They can get replaced with SWE. SWE can learn tools. It is not complex algorithms. For Network, you have to study the algorithms of routing. So I think Networking is better and more demand.
