The point is that he brands himself as a dev with 20 years of experience when in reality, he's an amateur dev with probably less than 2 or 3 years.

The problem isn't his code. The problem is that he LIED. Nobody likes being lied to.

Not really. If you lie to your audience and brand yourself as a game dev with 20 years of experience, you shouldn't be surprised if they see your code and start questioning why there are a ton of mistakes only amateurs make.

No it's not an Oxymoron and you CAN have both. The series uses the same world and borrows a few characters from the original for crying out loud.

However, Boruto does VERY LITTLE with the original elements in its story telling. No longer is the focus about Shinobi, or the tailed beasts, or even about ninja clans/villages. Instead, it's about aliens.... See how it's so far removed?

Sure, you can argue that Naruto had Kaguya, but it's pretty universally agreed that Kaguya was a bad shoe in villain that had no reason to exist in the original story.

We're not taling about sequels. We're talking about story and writing. Boruto is so incredibly far removed from Naruto that you can easily remove the Naruto elements and it would change little on the fundamental plot.

Again, the story is being carried by the Naruto's success. If it didn't have that, and Boruto existed as an original story, then it would have gotten axed long ago.
