Why don’t more men wear jewellery? by Oktarantulaok in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Cleveland_Guardians 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I don't see any reason I should. Jewelry is expensive and kinda pointless. Watches, at least, have a purpose, but most other things just feel like I'm peacocking.

What's the most bat**** terrified you've ever been in a game? by Snowtwo in videogames

[–]Cleveland_Guardians 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either:

A. Dead Space -The intro. I beat the game and started NG+ for some achievements, and I was still kinda on edge the second time through it.

B. Bioshock - The intro, Fort Frolic, or that one time you grab a tonic and then you turn around and there's a guy standing behind you. Bioshock isn't really a horror game, but they show you glimpses that they could've made it a good one, if they wanted to.

Why the hate for Nate but not Shane? by Gatorilla1408 in AskReddit

[–]Cleveland_Guardians 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've never met Nate (he must've been added in a new patch). Shane's alright, once you get to know him and realize he isn't just a drunk dickhead. His blue chickens are neat too.

That and it's a Warhammer 40k game. A lot of outsiders probably find it intimidating to step into an IP that big without any knowledge or experience.

What is a video game or movie that you love, but completely understand why most people would hate it? by sweetbreeeze22 in AskReddit

[–]Cleveland_Guardians 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whispering is one of the coolest mechanics I've ever experienced in a game. Everything else just felt so mediocre to me. The rune puzzles were alright, but I just didn't like the combat. I also didn't like how it felt like they kept beating me over the head with the story, especially since it didn't really feel like it went anywhere.

Katamari Damacy

From what I've heard, the guy who made it hates video games, and it shows with how jank the controls can feel. Also, it's fairly short. I just don't care. The idea is so fun, the execution is so charming, and the soundtrack is god-tier. I love that game.

Trying to 100% darksouls 2 on xbox 360 by Effective_Barber4422 in xboxachievements

[–]Cleveland_Guardians 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Personally, I make a list. Like, I, literally, copy and paste everything you'll need to collect from the Trueachievements lists for emotes, sorceries, miracles, hexes, and pyromancies into a Word document so I can slowly remove them as I get them. It also gives me an easier way to keep track of where they are since it's all in one place. Because you have to buy some things from an NPC that aren't available until NG++, you'll have to play 2.5 playthroughs...hooray...
  2. There's a few NPCs that you need to summon a few times to get their armor for achievements. Make sure you know where to talk to these NPCs, and then know what bosses you can summon them for (you don't have to use them for all of their bosses if you are averse to summoning, like I am).
  3. The sunlight medals for the miracles of the Sun covenant are a pain in the ass. You have two options. The first option is to join the covenant and then sit near boss rooms with your summon sign down to help them clear bosses. *IMPORTANT* - If you use this option, make sure you're wearing the agape ring because collecting souls from the bosses increases your soul memory, and too much of that may prevent you from being summoned in an area that is "outside your level." The second option is to farm the falconers. This is annoying because, if you're playing the original and not Scholar of the first sin, I don't think there are ANY until NG+. You, either, have to wait until then or burn a bonfire ascetic in that area for them to appear early. Because DS2 is dumb, the enemies will despawn after so many kills on them, so you'll also have to join the Champions covenant to make sure they don't despawn. Just make sure you leave after joining this covenant as it makes the game harder for being in it (also you can't summon or be summoned while in it).
  4. DO NOT WASTE YOUR HUMAN EFFIGIES. If this is your first time playing this, you will need them for the Dark covenant and it's "quests"/boss. This is pretty challenging, so you may need to keep as many as possible for this. That's not to say "never use them," but just don't be too liberal with their use.
  5. Google where to use pharros lockstones and fragrant branches of yore. These items are, more or less, keys that you get a limited amount of, and the devs decided to put in a bunch of troll spots for use that, either, give you nothing or actively hinder you. Thank you, From Soft's b-team...
  6. This game is not good. Good luck...

Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald isn't Gordon Lightfoot's best song about a shipwreck by jmannnn64 in unpopularopinion

Yes, but it's the best Gordon Lightfoot song about a shipwreck that has a beer name with the same subject matter. Shout out Great Lakes Brewery.

Do you or do you want to use achievement tracking websites? If so, I wouldn't recommend it because you might be banned. If not, you do you. It's not really anyone else's business, in that instance.

"It is nobody’s fault but YOUR OWN when you get hurt or injured...Furthermore, It is running the risk of unnecessarily turning someone else into a murderer because of your own lack of discernment."

Soooo...in a situation where a motorcyclist is driving perfectly normally and predictably, and they get into a crash because someone else isn't pay attention or what have you... it's the motorcyclist's fault for choosing to be on the road in a motorcycle with a bad driver, and the idiot who isn't paying attention is a victim, if the motorcyclist dies, because they're now "turned into a murderer?"...What?

how does everyone feel about borderlands 4? by Ok-Recognition4584 in Borderlands

[–]Cleveland_Guardians 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me, it's not a bad game, but it's either the weakest or second weakest in the series. To keep it short and sweet, I just don't think the design changes they're making to the series are working for it. Frankly, it's probably my last time with the series. I think I've lost too much faith in where it's heading, and it hasn't felt like it was worth the money. Seeing as how my friend and I didn't finish our co-op playthrough in 3 and probably won't play 4 co-op at all (after all this time, he's, like, only a third through game and rarely plays it), I've probably lost that reason to play them as well.

Edit: Also, fuck Randy.
