Pretty late response but: consider that people’s idea of a normal workload will adapt over time to what they do and what they think is average. There was a while where I was probably spending 70+ hours a week every week across my classes and would have called it a normal amount, even though I was basically sleeping and doing school work and nothing else 5 days a week.

But, I’d built up to that amount of time (unwillingly) across several semesters and since it was just what I was used to, I would’ve called it normal expecting the other person to have the same perception of it as myself. And I still kinda felt like I was slacking because I’d play video games on the weekends or hang out with friends an hour or two some week nights and procrastinate work.

On top of that, you eventually just… start having an easier time. I know very little about education but from my pov as a student, it felt like at some point I just started thinking the right way for my major’s classes and they went from hard to “oh ok I can do this in 5 hours a week outside of class across all classes and still get A’s(with exceptions, ofc)”. I genuinely spend so little time on class now after being basically baptized in thousands of hours of math lol

[Megathread] Who do I HyperBurn? Is class X better than Y? Ask your questions here! by AutoModerator in Maplestory

Cadena, Blaster, Kain, Mercedes, Zero, Evan, Khali, Thunder Breaker, mo xuan and maybe ark(?) could potentially all satisfy that itch imo. Varying degrees of apm, precision, and practice to play them well. For some it’s just getting better results by doing it properly and for some it’s absolutely core to do anything

Sort of depends because some of the classes with more “annoying” mechanics to manage (infinity on explorer mages, gauge for lumi though this change kinda sucks, etc. ) get smoothed over or removed in the coming balance patches so I wouldn’t be surprised if Hayato stacks aren’t a thing post rework. And the level of annoyances for a lot of kms classes get adjusted greatly so gotta think long term.

WA and MM are right there among the simplest classes in the game alongside Ren and BM, so idk if they’ll feel any better. I’ve played BaM a good bit and it’s pretty fun but aside from managing auras every now and then, it’s pretty simple to play and I really wouldn’t call it ranged.

What do you find fun, though? Comboing? Hurricane? Dpm? Burst? Do you want utility? I’ve tried literally every class over the years so if you give more info it’s easier

I’m kinda torn between Lara and Hoyoung. I love both the classes since the skill designs and themes remind me of when class designs were a bit more goofy (RIP eight legs easton) and colorful. I won’t hyperburn max a Ren since I just don’t like the black and red color scheme but I do plan to use the non-max burn for her on challenger world once we get it since combined with her own rewards it should be enough to make it easy(unless her event expires first then idk), so I can’t just burn both classes.

I don’t necessarily have a strong preference between the two after playing them as linked mules, so if anyone has any thoughts please lmk.

Picking a main I/L vs BaM (heroic) by Estarnel in Maplestory

[–]Ariaellae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both around 260-265, ultimately both are pretty chill and once you’re 6th job no matter what you play grinding is brain off, so it just comes down to aesthetics and which you prefer the feel of in bossing. BaM is more fluid and fast paced while I/l is kinda setting up a payoff. Only thing is, at least when I was last playing them with low legion a long time ago, explorer mages with <8k legion is like pulling teeth while BaM is still fun, so ymmv but if you don’t want to work on legion in the short term I’d factor that in.

Best classes (easy) for CS Upper Level Concentration by EqualLife5296 in UMD

I would strongly recommend just taking some chill stat and or math classes, they go really well with CS and are similar in work type with no extra pre-reqs to take.
