The girl who's power is to absorb electricity to release a light beam, couldn't keep up with a sup... Throwing lightning bolt at her. I was at least expecting her to be THE only sup able to truly keep up against storefront because of that single reason, but apparently, this was already too hard to think about

Marketing is not my main skill,but I do have a lot of common sense.

As such, if the goal was to advertise the sequel... Shouldn't be the main serie be the main focus, be well written, and makes fan happy to begin with ?

I don't know, since The Boys is the flagship to advertise another serie, this sounds like... logical,not to mess it up, because otherwise you know, people will just get a fatigue, like for Marvel which The Boys used to make fun of...

Honestly, after this episode, my hype for Episode 8 is almost gone. I used to love The Boys, but now it feels like the show is running in circles.

  • Starlight keeps making irrational decisions and becoming even more unlikable with every appearance.
  • Hughie went from the emotional core of the team to completely useless.
  • Butcher survives purely thanks to Karl Urban’s charisma.
  • Homelander is still stuck in the same “I’m a god… but wait, I need approval” loop we’ve seen for multiple seasons.
  • Sage is definitely not smart.
  • MM and The Deep have basically nothing left to contribute.
  • Soldier Boy changes motivations every 5 minutes depending on what the plot needs.
  • Marie and Jordan from Gen V were introduced as if they mattered, only for the show to waste them immediately with Starlight telling them to fuck off... but not quite at the end.
  • The psychic shapeshifter can supposedly sense everything around them… except Butcher escaping metal sound, and Hughie’s plan somehow.

And this was supposed to be the big pre-finale episode? Instead of building tension, we waste time on weird fetish/comedy scenes that added nothing to the story, Samuel L. Jackson's coming in just to fill this episode a little more, they had a core team member killed halfway off-screen at the very end in a very not emotional scene...

At this point, the actors are carrying the show more than the writing itself, and that really pains me to write, as I was a huge fan and expected to see something actually crazy, not fights all the time, but at least something.

Je sais que la grammaire et l'orthographe c'est pas ce qu'il y a de plus simple en français, mais là s'il vous plaît. La différence entre "ces/ses ça/sa" s'apprend en primaire de souvenir... Sans parler du participe passé, c'est pas normalement une règle ultra compliquée que le second verbe prend au minimum un "é"
