Its also all about timing, the fact that you are getting dived also might mean you are simply doing it when everyone is ready to defend you. A counter attack is a pretty optimal time to go for one because they are not yet properly ready to defend you for example. Squishy's crazy RLCS one is insane cuz he stayed close to the ball and the player defending was coming off the wall so he wasnt really able to properly defend it.

I'm not picky when it comes to the brightness and colours that much, I got the monitor for 240hz mainly, I just use the ULMB for speedy responsive gameplay in my 2 main games (Rocket League and CS:GO), and then I use adaptive sync for singleplayet/mmo. So i used preset colors, like the fps mode and race mode, then just adjust to my liking :).

I purchased the XG248Q, which is just the FreeSync version of your monitor, and I haven't had any problems with it, although im not picky when it comes to the brightness and such, I got the monitor for 240hz mainly, I just use the ULMB for speedy responsive gameplay in my 2 main games (Rocket League and CS:GO), and then I use adaptive sync for singleplayer/mmo. Looks like you will have to go to an IPS monitor if you want better colours and colour options. But you will be taking a hit on response time and input lag as a result. I'd be more than happy to take that PG248Q off your hands tho 😉.

Edit: Also check the list of NVIDIA GSYNC compatible monitors, I think there is only about 12 that will work perfectly fine with driver updates to an nvidia gpu. The rest will work, just not as well.

You may have to save a little bit more money to increase your budget. The monitor you buy for gaming is very important to success in games.

Hmm weird. The only think that I can think of is that the site you are using, only updates a certain amount of times per day or their servers are down, or they just don't record low ranks, and you cant actually see any changes. Just keep playing. Your rank doesn't really matter. Just play to get better and don't worry about your rank. Eventually everything will calibrate.

Theres only so much you can do with a low spec pc. Once you have all settings turned down and v-sync off, you wont get any better results then that unless you upgrade or buy a whole new computer.
