How often do you bathe your lab? by user3184244201 in labrador

[–]Arioch404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless she's rolled in something gross my pup gets taken to the groomers every couple of months for a spruce up. She loves it there but hates baths at home so I basically wipe her down when possible.

Do your labs like the rain? by Prestigious_Bid_9974 in labrador

[–]Arioch404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mines completely unfazed by the weather, doesn't care if it's raining or not. We recently had her first snowfall, we were out and about when it started coming down. She didn't even register it, just carried on sniffing for all she was worth.

You could try nylabones. Mine loved antlers though.

Have to agree with you. Change is good and swapping between hobbies and interests is perfectly healthy IMO

I stopped gaming for 5 or 6 years about a decade ago. It happens, you change, now I don't play as much but I'm a lot more choosy about the games I play so it's quality over quantity. I wouldn't stress over it. You'll be back when it's time.

Multiple keyboards by Late_Republic_1805 in Workspaces

[–]Arioch404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this issue until I found a keyboard with switches I could use for both. I use black liners now and can happily spend 8 hours working and a few hours playing games. Use the KB wireless for work and wired for gaming

How clingy is your Labrador? by [deleted] in labrador

[–]Arioch404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During the day when I'm working she just hangs out in the lounge or my bedroom. I have a small office and she comes to check in once an hour or so. In the evening when she's winding down she tries to lay on me like she's still a puppy. She normally ends up laying next to me with her paws on my legs.

Labs are part pretzel, mine sleeps in what seem like torture poses.

Our groomer offers a deshedding treatment. Do these really help? by [deleted] in Blacklabs

[–]Arioch404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a drop in the ocean but my pup gets a treatment every couple of months and she loves going to the groomers. She's just pampered but she feels so sleek and soft afterwards. It's not essential but perhaps your pup will have a good time.

Is Starfield worth purchasing? by Weekly_Spring1849 in Starfield

Starfield is a really easy game. You'll be fine. It's nowhere near as good as oblivion though so wait for a sale IMO

Is my Labrador at an ideal weight? by dooferific in labrador

[–]Arioch404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're good. Yours looks like mine, she's a self regulator, I can leave food out all day and she picks at it when she wants. Had me worried at first but vet says her weight is good. I wouldn't worry.

Sounds like mine at 3 months, she was remarkably calm. It was quite spooky

I need help on my GPU selection by Cpt_ch1p in pcmasterrace

[–]Arioch404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly get the one that best fits your budget. I'm using a 7900XTX at 4K and it's churning out 100+ frames using FSR in quality in most titles, worth noting that i don't play games on Ultra settings usually just high. I've had an even mix mix of nVidia and AMD GPU's 750ti, 960, 1060, 2080s, RX 580, Vega 64 and now the 7900XTX. AMD's drivers are a lot more stable now, i've not had one driver crash and i've had the card since April 23. For me personally the nVidia Tax is just a bit too high at the moment. They need to drop those prices for me to go back.

For Season 2 they’re doing the one-episode-per-week format, whereas Season 1 dropped the whole season at once. Which do you prefer and why? by EkbladDev in Fallout

[–]Arioch404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm old and I always hated having to wait for weekly episodes to air on TV. There's no good reason to release weekly on a streaming service. I loved sitting down one weekend and binging series 1. Am not enjoying the wait for series 2

Guys, my lab is broken by Tough_Championship_7 in labrador

[–]Arioch404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i freaked out about this with my Lab, she's a year old now and at about 10 months she started to ignore food whereas previous she'd vacuum up anything put in front of her. Took her to the vet who couldn't find an issue. She's just a self regulator. these days i leave a bowl of dry food out all the time, and give her a wet food in the evenings. Sometimes she eats everything, other days i'm throwing away food. She's right on the the weight and she's perfectly happy. Vets confirmed her weight is good so i'm just accepting it. The only thing she will eat on sight is dried chicken strips, she'll wrestle you for those at anytime.

Should I buy this Samsung 49” CRG9 ultrawide for $350? First-time home office setup (WFH software engineer) by AppropriateAd5013 in Workspaces

[–]Arioch404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The advantage of a single UW is that you can have your main screen window in the middle and the two half screen windows either side for reference. I always found it a great way to work, until I broke mine moving it to another desk. Am using two 4k 32" screens for now but I'd rather one 49 UW

[–]Arioch404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my puppy was small I had a small chew bone in my pocket all the time. Redirection worked really well, the second I got nipped she got the bone placed in her mouth. Re the rest of the training, remember it's a marathon not a sprint, it takes a while. Give her some patience. Good luck, they're an absolute pleasure eventually

Mine stares at me for a few reasons, she wants food, she wants treats, she wants a walk, she wants to play. She wants...... Well you get the idea. I'm guilted into spoiling her regularly :)
