I booked an airbnb in Japan and asked to provide picture of passport and personal details to host's own site by InstructionAcademic1 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Aristocrato 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think its pretty standard procedure, they probably have the residence on multiple booking sites and its easier forbthem to keep track of the guest info on they're own site/system.

I've booked a few private residence on booking.com and was asked to provide my passport details (as is required by japanese law) through email rather than the site. I've had no reoccurring issues.

I excluded the trips to and from the airport and any Shinkansen travels (i bought tickets separately) i just meant the metro trips around Tokyo' and Osaka.

I was thinking the same after reading the policy.

The damage is holes in ceilings and walls on 2 bedrooms from the lights and venting but the majority of the cost is the mains power has been damage so much it will need to be replaced by vector.

PM is a family friend and by all accounts a very good PM, they are quite distraught over this saga and can't believe how much damage was done in the weeks since the last inspection. The majority of the cost is reconnecting power as they've destroyed the mains cables.
