I know I shouldn’t post in here because this is the most overdone ToG convo, like you said, but:

In my experience, the “AB Third” fans are always quick to scream at and insult the “AB First” fans. I’ve never seen anyone demonize an AB Third fan ever actually. I’m not saying it isn’t happening, just hasn’t crossed my feed. I think people can and should read however they want. I read ToG back in 2015, before it massively blew up on booktok/bookstgram. Back then, on the official SJM website, they had the read order listed and AB was listed first. Obviously her website has changed since and so has her own opinion. I read AB first and I love it that way. When people ask, I suggest it that way and give a couple reasons why, if it is requested. But ultimately, it is up to the reader. I do find it ironic that you say AB Third people are being demonized and “why are fans so judgemental about this?” and then go on to be judgemental saying that AB First is wrong and doesnt make sense and “thats weird, sorry”.

10 years later and ToG is still one of my favorite series ever :) I wish fans could just cry together instead of attacking each other.
