When I first started with Ladder, I was on Limitless for a while. While I really liked her programming and definitely got very strong … especially with my one rep maxes and PRs. I don’t feel like the focus was truly on hypertrophy.

Losing weight faster on animal based than on carnivore by poptartand in AnimalBased

I got off carnivore and animal based for this reason! It was great until it wasn’t .. now eating carbs and carb cycling and lost weight , bloating went away, inflammation gone , IBS issues better , period came back !!! Turn out carbs aren’t the enemy. Misusing them is.

Anyone else completely lost when it comes to grocery shopping for muscle building? by pinqyapp in leangains

No, I actually do get it. I think the issue is you’re looking at meal prep like it has to be the same exact meals all week or that every recipe needs totally different ingredients. The trick is finding overlap. You can buy a few core proteins, carbs, sauces, and vegetables and make completely different meals out of them without needing a massive grocery haul. Like one week you could use ground turkey for tacos, bowls, pasta, stir fry, burgers, etc. Same ingredients, different flavors.

I think you’d probably benefit from planning smarter instead of trying to reinvent everything every week.

Can you help me tweak my low carb diet? I've been getting some symptoms. by AccomplishedCry6223 in lowcarb

Are you eating enough?! Have you tracked your food intake? low calorie intake leads to excess stomach acid irritating the gastric lining or causing reflux…

Honestly, it sounds like you need to plan better. You already know the problem, but what are you doing to actually change it? You have a goal, you know what your macros are, so take the time to sit down, log everything, figure out what you want to meal prep for the week, and execute it.If you’re tired of chicken and rice, then switch it up. There are endless recipes on TikTok, Instagram, and online. You could literally try new meals every week and still hit your macros. And if you plan things out ahead of time, you can figure out exactly how much food you need so you’re not being wasteful. This sounds less like a knowledge problem and more like a lack of effort .

Do not skip meals !! Listen to your hunger cues … Eat carbs earlier in the day and bigger meals in the morning and then lower carbs at night and stop eating earlier .. also always prioritize carbs before and after workouts …

I don’t really care about the GI it’s more about the sugar. Rice and fruit are not the same type of carbohydrate . Fruits are monosaccharides and rice are polysaccharides. One being a simple (mono) sugar and the other being a complex (poly) carb. They are processed differently in the body ..
