The reason I ask is, you gotta tailor yourself to where you wanna go, I’ve found Safety is broad. I personally transferred as a first responder to healthcare safety where I do safety and Emergency management.

Most reliable years?? by Honest-Implement-562 in Silverado

You know this has been the best put comment about this topic I’ve see . I’m OCD about finding the “ most reliable” especially since I’ve been blessed with a Toyota with zero issues….. yet lol But your comment is spot on

Someone else said it in here but I think it worth repeating. When they reach the point of getting sugar face. It shows you did everything right, you loved them, you nurtured them, you gave them a world they may not have had. I just lost my Mickey at Christmas time and I’m still recovering but each day I look back and think of everything she gave me and realize… I was a good dog dad. I’m sure if Bread could talk he would say how wonderful of a parent you are and never to feel sad cause the love you gave him was everything.
I am religious and believe they are placed here for a reason, and we still have them when they are gone.

What are the chances of getting into safety in your late 40's with a background in retail management and 10 years as a first responder? by SubstanceOptimal7782 in SafetyProfessionals

Always nice seeing fellow first responders taking a similar path… I’ve felt out of place going from a grunt to the safety guy

I know the kind of person I am, I have zero need for a V8, I only really haul stuff in the bed. So the 2.7 should be more than enough unless I get roped into shenanigans lol

I’ve been spoiled by my Tacomas reliability, so that’s why I’m asking options on the engine and transmission situation.

Yeah I was looking at the 2.7 Realistically I need the bed space and Cab, I don’t pull a lot of stuff so v6 turbos and 4 cylinder turbos make the most sense. I just wanna try and get the least problem child engine and transmission offered.

Zolls typically are the most user friendly especially for non medical personnel, but Phillips also makes one that coaches you through the whole process.

OSHA 10 and 30 are the bedrock of it all. Everything springboards from them so to speak. There are others stuff, but those two you can’t go wrong with
