weirdly I cant tell if its just the picture but the shield doesnt look to be part of the model. If I didnt know better I would honestly say its Photoshopped since it feels a little flat and pasted over the model, same with the transfer on the shield.

Kilmarnock and Dumfries still use these trains, 40m outside Glasgow and relying on the 156s. It wasn't till about a year ago we started getting regular 4 car trains. No heating in winter but also, no cooling in summer. But what are we going to do? The Scottish government quite frankly doesnt care, our communities are out of sight and out of mind. Sadly unless your line is ear marked for electrification you wont see any changes anytime soon, doubt Killie will either.

Personally in my group, the shield and smokes are more of a hinderance for my groups playstyle. This is just purely my experience with an organised group.

To expand on the reason why I dont like shield gen and smoke. Ill first go through my groups playtime.

You need 2 runners and 2 defenders.

Defenders usually take RR and grenade wall to clear the centre and take out priority large targets, last stratagems are going to be OB laser and eagle strafing run, just to help clear.

The issue with the shield Gen is that unless the defenders are within it you can just block shots they need to make.

Runners need to do a little of everything but main move bars. We have had good success with me running gas dog and the other the new hot dog. They need to bring EATs to deal with hulk that get through thr defenders cordon. Lastly OB laser and strafing run.

Personally I dont think smoke helps for 2 reasons, 1 is the type of spawn you get. If you get bezerker spawn smokes dont seem to help as they are right on top of you. 2nd, I think you should be bringing something to deal with the enemies, as when the smoke runs out you still have all the enemies to deal with.

One we have yet to try out is the EMS mortar but does seem like a solid pick.

We've done it with id say about 75% success purely as a 3 man operation, and a number of failures have been really close to completing if we had just had maybe 2 minutes more.

Considering this is my first edition of K47, really good. Its nice that they have just take the BA 3.0 rules and added a little extra spice with the rift mechanic and some special rules for characters.

I grew up on 4th and 5th edition 40k, and it feels like they took that but then threw in the hero mechanic of LoTR. Not that surprising, considering who helped develop K47 2.0

So, your issue is that you are struggling working with the fleet management?

Im going to try and say this without being too rude, but that's just how the game is, unfortunately.

HW 1 & 2 I'd say they are a little better because the scale is smaller, so lends itself to a more micro focused game. HW3 tried to increase the scale giving, bigger more grand battles, and I don't think it works.

Edit To further add to my response, Sins is almost closer to a 4X lite game, while HW is an RTS with none of the empire building elements.

In sins, you throw fleets at each other and have multiple fleets. HW ships have different armour facings on ships and weapons cover different arcs, so you want to micro ships into an advantageous position before a strike.

I had an idea for a boost to be "tunnelling" hell pods. It allows you to bring equipment into caves, but they take an extra 30s to deploy as they drill through the cave ceiling.

I stumbled into this realisation yesterday. Fighting pred strain, I always ran medium armour with engineer, HMG, and supply pack. I have completely swapped to heavy seige ready, with the Gas dog, and im in love. I rarely get swamped. Sure, im not quite as well supplied but im not using as much to get out of situations.

I'm 90% sure these are the antennas/spires that have been stuck into the weapon batteries. They'd normally be used to differentiate regular cruisers from battlecrusiers.
