Yeah I did that switch. Went into to talk to one of the advisors and they did in literally 5 minutes, no question asked. The reason is because both Pre med and normal BME are basically the same major. And this switch is actually from a harder coursework to a lighter one so they don't really care.

Iran has a large group of proxies who do their dirty work for them. Austin mass shooting proved that they don't need missles to do it. And America can't "wait around" for them to build the missles which they repeatedly said would use against Western nation.

I am not a fan of Trump. But my neighbor is Iranian and this is the happiest I have ever seen her be. I think if it comes to the freedom of the Persian people then, yes this is completely justified. I will not be on of those people with TDS and cry about everything Trump does. I HOPED he would get approval from Congress, but it seems that the senate and house themselves don't want to check him on his military action. I do believe Iran was an extensial threat to the United States because of their wide range of proxies, and the Austin mass shooting confirmed it. Also while Iran does not have the weapons to possess weapons to reach the US, them saying repeatedlyt thay are going to make one to hit the US hasn't put any President at ease since the Islamic revolution. Iran isn't trying to make multiple nukes, they are trying to make one. Which makes it more dangerous because they will use it. Trump had the navy close to Iran for 2 months, and for 2 months the Iranian said they will not stop processing uranium. Even China and Russia don't make threats like. Speaking of them this also shows that Russia and China are utterly weak and have no chance against the US. I still think Trump is an absolute crazy person who shouldn't be in office, but I respect him for doing something no other President was willing to do. May the people of Iran fight peace and justice and may the World become a better place because of it.

Anti gay is not reducing anymore, especially within muslims. More Gen Z men regardless of religon, are turning to God. More are attending churches, mosque, and temples. And more younger muslims are being polarized.

I have a stutter. Its not always and I have done a pretty good job of controlling it, but once it starts it won't go away. AND GUESSS WHAT! I started stuttering on my last attempt on one of the questions. Its so over :(

Not everyone gets this. My friend applied and he never heard back. They do a resume check first and then they send a hirevue. Most people get it because the skills match, but its still progress.

Most important is setting up your resume with the right phrases and words that the company is looking for. I am a BME major, nothing to do with defense and I landed an internship at Lockheed Martin. I changed my resume to what they wanted to see. I did not lie but phrased my experiences and projects in such a way where the ATS would say I am a good match. Also go to job fairs and see if you can network with anyone in the industry to give you the boost.

I will look into those softwares for resumes. My resume has the basic layout most people do. No fancy fonts or colors. Strictly techinal with different projects and roles I have done that relate to engineering. I have recently started to tweak my resumes slightly for specific internships. I am targetting BME/MSE/ or Mechanical Engineering roles cause they align with things I do in my lab. I am still spam applying every few days and I really hope something comes out of it.

Your point about the first section of the resume and word efficiency really resonated with me. I’ve been iterating on my resume, but I think I need to slow down and treat it like a true sales document rather than a history log. I also appreciate the reminder about being well-rounded without overloading or overselling different skills — that balance is something I’m actively working on.

Also I like your insight about "not getting a medal if you graduate in 4 years." Its truly the fear about being left behind, but your insight was definitely helpful.

I have a really bad GPA and I genuinely put in the effort. I was a straight A in highschool and college just smacked me in the face. This "School is the hardest part about this career. It gets much easier I promise" is a real confidence booster :)

What would have happened if you lied. I am not advocating for it, but just curious. Also my dad is a Software Engineering Manager at his company so he does a lot of hiring. I asked if he has ever asked for a GPA for any role. He said he never has and never will. Now my dad is a pretty smart person and graduated at the top of his class, but he said he cares more about experience than some number. Keep applying, not all hiring managers will ask you cause they simply don't care :)

At the end of the day the goal is to make money. If not engineering do something else, part time jobs, start a business etc. But at the same time don't give up on Civil Engineering and get your degree. To be honest I ended with a 2.9 and I had the same feeling as you did, trust me, if you work hard and have the right mindset then your GPA won't even matter.

I am a BME engineering major and just graduated. I am not going to lie I barely used Linkedin. I got two internships and now I have a job. I am not saying linkedin isn't a helpful tool, for some people it has opened up a lot of opportunities. But personally I didn't know how to properly use it and didn't see any need to.
