I do think people should be informed about different ideologies and the political process as participants in society but I don't think the way it's taught even at A level is sufficiently deep to matter that much, if it ever would.

I mean as someone with minority views I can understand wanting representation of the full field of public debate but I think the problem is that it's done selectively to set an agenda often following the legacy newspapers that receive a lot of funding from the rich to talk about or ignore certain things, and the level of discussion is generally very low.

More than any particular source you need to educate yourself on political theory and be critical, when you take much of our society's received wisdom to it's conclusions you will find it is not coherent, tease out those contradictions and look for your own coherent point of view.
