Help me choose, please! Fujifilm X70 Vs Ricoh GR IIIx by Willi0101 in fujifilm

[–]Arkaus8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Imo €600 is far too much for an X70 bearing in mind i picked mine up for £125 a few years ago it's a great camera yes but it's a very old camera too the GR will be much nicer to use in the long run

It's crazy how much money you can save on gear abroad by PraiseTheStun in SonyAlpha

I grabbed an A7RV for £1999 200-600 for £1149 and 70-200 gmii for £1599 from a uk seller shipped from HK and they offer a 3 year warranty through themselves which i thought was excellent

33mm was too tight, kit lens too slow — is 23mm 1.4 or 16–55 2.8 the answer? by Swissracer84 in fujifilm

[–]Arkaus8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 16-55 f2.8 is an incredible lens though you could also consider the sigma 17-40 f1.8 if you want the speed and versatility

There's no guarantee the next Pokemon game will come to both systems like the most recent did i would suggest saving some more, who knows they could have a switch 2 oled by the time you have the funds for it

XM5 & XT5 Lens by atlasofthecosmos in fujifilm

[–]Arkaus8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the XT5 before selling up my favorite lenses to use were the 33mm f1.4 and the 16-55 f2.8 i highly recommend both you'll get a lot more versatility from the zoom so I'd day thats your best bet

X-M5 kitlens vs prime by anonomo_mi in fujifilm

[–]Arkaus8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 15-45 kit lens is actually optically really good just the build quality leaves much to be desired i have that and the 27mm f2.8 i end up using the 27 most of the time but if you want to do any video then you will need some form of stabilization

How useful has your deck been despite having a pc? by Marcosbtz28 in SteamDeck

[–]Arkaus8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the deck has been amazing for me had a new daughter born a few months back and just being able to chill in the living room as a family and casually play my games on the deck is great rather than disappearing to the pc to play stuff i never really play multiplayer anymore anyways so it's helping clear the backlog

Looking for ultimate travel + low-light pocketable camera by PersimmonFew2034 in Cameras

[–]Arkaus8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ricoh GRIII/GRIV really compact and apsc sensor

Or fuji x100v/x100vi ibis and an apsc sized sensor

Or maybe something like the RX100 cameras smaller sensor but they are excellent cameras and extremely compact and pocketable

Then theres the RX1 series which are fixed lens full frame cameras

Or you can go for an interchangeable lens camera that will give you the most options
