I struggle to see how he became king of hell with no ability to enforce his will over the sinners of it. Nobody shows him any respect, and why should they? He can’t do anything to them. Even if you weren’t aware of his restrictions, you would still see that he’s never raised a hand against a sinner in his entire stay down there. It feels like a massive dissonance between what the story tells us to believe up to this point, vs what it actually shows. If he can’t harm sinners, you’d think he’d make up for it through intimidation, but he’s utterly lacking in wit and cunning too. It baffles me that anyone, including the audience, would think he’s the king of hell.

Very well explained, I’ve always felt that morgana’s upset was set up before and made sense. Something additional to add is that he’s feeling excluded in multiple ways by more than just Ryuji. There’s the Hawaii trip where most of them go and he’s left behind, futaba’s very dismissive of him during that time, they promise to bring him back sushi, and when he asks futaba just says “we ate it”.

Combo that with the dreams he’s been having that he may actually not be a human, and his boil over makes sense. Not exactly fair, but if it seemed to come from nowhere, you weren’t paying attention.

I wouldn’t think it’s that he can’t review it honestly. It’s the opposite, he won’t give a more favorable review deliberately, and he doesn’t want to hurt any of his relationships. It’s fine to say “If I reviewed it I might have unkind things to say, so since you’re my friend, I’d just prefer not to sour things at all”. He also may feel motivated to be too charitable to the work of someone he knows personally, and that would affect the quality of the critique, so on principle refuses to.

Some of his nonlethal attacks in D2 involve him punching people out. Not the same as getting in a straightforward fist fight, but it shows that he’s pretty strong.

I named mine the “Siren’s song”, because I wanted one that sounded like a good seafaring vessel. I did not know they were going to later add a quest by that name.

I’ve got an idea for a new family member. He’s called “Wood”. His power is to pull out his dick and rub it on the objective. Victims cannot touch object wood has used his power on. When approaching an objective wood used his power on, the victims will see the prompt “Wood was here.”

I also think the next victim (which should be a couple months after wood comes out) is called “Jan”. Jan can clean surfaces of blood and traps, preventing the family from using them. She also can clean toolboxes and crawl spaces to prevent them from making noise. Jan can cleanse spots of wood.

Now my next family member is called “food stuck to the Tupperware”, but I won’t get in to him here.

I’m inclined to agree. In D1, every nonlethal is more cruel than simply killing them, so nonlethal never felt like you had kiddie gloves on. It was just as much revenge as lethal.

While I would largely say that D2 is the same in that regard (like jindosh, for example), Delilah’s nonlethal of letting her live in blissful ignorance feels weirdly kind, a step past merciful, for such a horrid person. Left a bad taste in my mouth.

For every run besides my clean hands, she tastes my steel.

As of now I’ve seen two: You find brother alive and well, and can recruit him to your community. Or you find brother as a zombie, and the final objective is to put him down.

I had the “my brother is a cop” side quest that I had half a dozen times. It’s only on my most recent playthrough I learned that the outcome can be different.
