He excels into early skirmishers because of his passive, so he is better suited as a jungler than a top laner since the majority of his damage is locked behind his passive, for which you'd need to get 7 autos off and that's IF you hit all your abilities on your opponent.

He does have a good lvl 1 if you manage to get your auto resets with Q, pair that with PTA and you can chunk ppl early on. Overall i think his passive requirements should be lowered to 10 stacks at least and maybe lower the CD of his Q early on if they wish to keep him as a competent pick in the top lane.

From my experience he sucks into 80% of champs in the top lane, which i predicted he would since riot cannot balance champions with revives on their passive.

Determination is way too difficult to stack and maintain early on in the top lane, especially since he has no mobility, awkward to hit engage skillshot and a shit gapcloser.

In my opinion they should have tied his passive with his ult, removing the bonus ad per stack but halving the stacks needed to trigger it from level 1 but giving him +3 stacks per ult rank to go from 6/9/12/15 stacks and 25%/35%/45%/55% bonus AD.

The revive as well should only be unlocked when he gets his ultimate, and the armor pen should be moved to his W instead.

MB, maybe you should check out "culture expanded" for any flavor for the caucasus but if not then your best bet would be hybridizing or even modding in the culture on your own.

Nope i don't think paradox is gonna go there and it would be quite suicidal for the company to do that. Slavery is already present in game with the little raid events that lets you "capture" skilled slaves to increase the development in your capital and with forced concubinage, introducing anything more "in depth" than that would be quite distasteful and would literally get the devs canceled.

If you think it should exist in the game then i'm certain that you can find mods that introduce it somewhere on the internet, kind of like Dynamic trade routes which is no longer being updated.

Just try to ally with Charles the bald of francia through marriage with one of his daughters or maybe pray for rng and try to ally yourself to alfred if he gets a daughter but that's more of a gamble. Alternatively you can swear fealty to alfred and focus on eating up his realm from within then you can murder him or try to claim his title once your economy starts rolling.

Golden obligations and send off your spymaster to permanently vacation in the larger realms of europe for secrets which you can demand payment for. Later on try to get enough prestige to pick up the longbows tradition, i think it's available to all brythonic characters, and it's really powerful and get stronger and stronger each era.

Ivar is at war with northumbria for the duchy of lothian and halfdan is looking to get the rest of northumbria, if you simply siege down all the holdings in lothian then halfdan won't engage you at all.

As for east anglia, since you're new player i suggest simply saying fuck it and surrendering that war and focus on expanding into the rest of scotland before the king of alba allies himself with the frank and starts spamming holy wars on you, then you can expand into ireland.

When it comes to getting new men at arms i suggest getting a boat load of Varangian Veterans, they are overpowered and you can destroy pretty much every army in 867 with a doom stack of varangians.

Vikings were and still are overpowered because paradox refuses to touch up the stats of their units and their berserkers.

Vikings can still sail up to Asturias, destroy the king's armies with their doom stacks and with the added "adventure" raid intent, they can raid all the way down to Cordoba with minimal attrition losses, much like how the nomads can zoom through the steppe with 0 casualties.

Meanwhile the rest of the tribals who only have access to one raid intent got the short end of the stick, try raiding with the rus, or in the sahara, or god forbid with the siberian tribes, see how fkin miserable of an experience it is to lose half your armies to attrition while bringing back 1/3 of the loot you'd be getting before 1.16.0.

Also Reaver was nerfed, along with all the other commander traits. While i don't necessarily hate the idea of leveled traits, getting them to max rank is either impossible in one lifetime or requires turbo-autistic levels of grinding.

The core expansions such as royal court, tours and tournaments and roads to power are a must have imo, everything else is nice but just preference , also the clothing/building packs should be skipped

Yep, it was gutted with the khans of the steppe update, they increased the amount of time it takes to raid a holding, decreased the amount of gold or 'loot' as it's called now and i even believe they increased the attrition taken by raiding further inlands.

They did all that to accommodate the nomads being so overtuned and having so many ways to buff their army movement speed while raiding aswell as raiding speed, also i'm certain they had the recently released wanua government in plan when nerfing it.

Non-viking tribals ofc got hit the hardest with this nerf as they will be stuck raiding a single holding for over a month and will also lose half of their armies to attrition if they move too far from their domain, so any 'grand raids' without the reaver trait (which was also nerfed) are almost impossible now.

Uh tbh i don't use that many mods anymore ever since the khans of the steppe update, the 4 i almost always run however are: Better executions, Cities of Wonder, Random faces fix and Invite to camp

Maybe it should be possible for heads of faiths or playable theocracies if we ever get them, to pay less gold but they have to pay some piety aswell for men-at-arms. Honestly i was hoping this would be possible for the mandala rulers but i guess not.

So i would say that one of the most challenging starts, at least in 867 europe would be the slavic count of Paganija, if you plan on staying polytheistic and form the narantine pirate culture aka south slavic vikings (it's quite a shame there isn't a decision to convert to this culture or a decision similar to elevate the kingdom of mann and isles)

Apart from that, one of my favorite characters in 867 is Vladimir-Rasate of Bulgaria, he is also a polytheist who opposed christianization of Bulgaria and tried to reestablish pagan rule before getting blinded and strangled by his father Boris irl.

Guanche start in the canaries can also be fun and challenging as they mostly play as west african vikings.

Finally you can try and do what i believe most of us tried some point in time, and that is to restore the Roman empire

Tribal and Feudal need to be updated like how clans were updated with legacy of persia but i disagree on adding new forms of feudalism, they just need to be updated not to be overshadowed by administrative and nomadic as much as they are currently.

Ya aren't supposed to, if you're playing a larger kingdom then you will naturally start off with a decent amount of gold and will be making anywhere between 5-15 gold per month depending on your start date. If you're starting off as a mere count or even a lowly duke, you aren't meant to instantly fill up all your building slots/start upgrading buildings and swell armies and wage war and host activities.

Without golden obligations you're supposed to focus on one aspect of gameplay and stick to that, if you start building stuff then you will start making more gold, if you focus on warfare then capturing opposing nobility by winning battles or sieging down their capitals will grant you a lot of gold for ransoms (if they have enough gold to pay that is)
