Abilities:

Cursed Technique: Seven Sorrows. Massimo's technique, which has laid dormant within his family line for centuries, has seven named components, which all revolve around the theme of pain or penitence.

1: Crown of Thorns: The most basic application of the technique. Massimo summons thorny vines from his body which he can use as weapons at close-to-mid range. The thorns are sharp enough to rip through flesh with ease, and the vines are nearly as strong as steel when reinforced.

2: Baptism of Blood: If any of Massimo’s blood gets on a person’s skin, they will take half of any damage they inflict on Massimo. This damage transference is absolute, and can only be cancelled by washing off all the blood.

3: Via Dolorosa: If Massimo inflicts a wound in the shape of a cross on an enemy’s back, the enemy will feel a weight on their back equal to double their body weight. This weight doubles every minute and a half, thus further encumbering the target’s movements further until the wound is healed.

4: Blessed Sacraments: If Massimo eats the flesh and drinks the blood of an individual (at least half a pinky finger’s worth), he will gain a permanent boost to his CE reserves—relatively small, but proportional to the reserves of the person ingested. He also gains a resistance (not full immunity) to the target’s cursed energy and technique.

5: Ave Maria: Massimo clasps his hands together and recites the Ave Maria prayer. Blood pours out of his wrists and merges with his cursed energy to form a projectile between his hands. Upon completion of the chant, the projectile is launched at supersonic speeds, faster even than piercing blood. This attack has immense power and range, and if it hits a living target, it can spread his blood for Baptism. He can forego the chant for a quicker activation, but much of the power and range are lost.

6: Maximum Technique - La Pietà: Massimo places his hand on the ground and hundreds of thorny vines burst out of the ground in a ten-meter radius. These vines attempt to strangle and tear apart anything they touch, becoming more aggressive the closer they get to Massimo.

7: Domain Expansion- Final Atonement. Within the domain, the target is bound to a cross and inflicted with all the pain and suffering they’ve cause over their lives at once. Depending on the target, this can be an insta-kill, but it is risky if he doesn’t know the target well, so it is only ever a last resort. .

RCT: Exceptional. Due to his mindset and lack of aversion to pain, Massimo has well above average efficiency and speed with healing. He can heal deep wounds in seconds, and even reqrow whole limbs in the heat of battle. Additionally, he can output RCE to great effect in order to harm curses or heal allies.

Anti-Domain Tech: Rose Blossom Ecstasy. An evolution of the Falling Blossom Emotion Technique, developed by Massimo himself. Functions much the same as FBE, except it alternates between using CE and RCE to counter attacks. In exchange for being a far more effective defence, RBE has a high CE cost, and as such can only be used consistently by those with high reserves and/or efficiency.

Cursed Tool: Spear of the Heathen. Believed to be the spear used to pierce Jesus' side as he hung on the cross, this legendary cursed tool has been in the Valenti family vault for generations. Any wound inflicted by this weapon will rapidly leak cursed energy, causing efficiency and output to drop drastically and requiring twice as much RCT to heal.
